Hi Guys - Heres one for you!!!

I am travelling from NRW to YRK on 15 FBY 10 and when I booked tickets on 27 DMR 09 via East Coast website. I was given this route:

arr dep by toc

NRW 0533 T LE
ELY 0630 0700 T LE
PBO 0738 0751 T GR
YRK 0856

However recently (well after booking) there has been some engineering works scheduled for between NRW and Thetford. <(<D

I have booked ADV tickets for those services but only have a Mandatory Res. Coupon's for the PBO to YRK leg paying £13.65 1A (FAM) 1C (CHFAM). Could you give me an alternate route to put to GR and to see if they could send me a letter to validate. You may think that if I arrive YRK later it would be possible but no I need to arrive at York by 08:56 to catch a connection.

From Eastcoast.co.uk

Norwich 05:10 LE

SB.gif
CC.gif

Stowmarket 05:39
Train continues to London Liverpool Street

Peterborough 07:38
Train terminates at Peterborough

Peterborough 07:51 GR

York 08:56
Train continues to Glasgow Central

No need to 'validate' anything, you have a reservation for the 0751 and the rest of the ticket doesn't have a reservation so you are free to take any connecting train(s) on a valid itinerary.

No problem! It may be a good idea to go to the East Coast site and print off that itinerary to bring with you, just in case you encounter any problems. :)

Out of interest, what is the onward connection?

If you want a tip for a good breakfast at York not in the station, turn left outside the station and head for Lendal Bridge. Turn right at Lendal Bridge and go along Rougier Street (past Aviva offices). On the right hand side of the road a bit further along from a pedestrian crossing is a good little sandwich shop which does some very good take-away breakfasts.

Alternatively I think the Coopers bar in the station may be open for a cheap (but not as good) breakfast.
