Well done to everyone who put in an entry, I took the time to look at all the entries and am struggling to make a choice. My post has been edited, incase you were wondering about the below.

This is supposed to be a bit of fun. I expect some posters are probably young folks and not that experienced in photography. Your comments, negative, as they were last week as well, sour the flavour of this competition, unnecessarily in my opinion. You don't have to vote do you.

Exactly, also electric locomotives are hard to find for those who don't live near electrified lines. I did go out to Wigan North Western to get a shot of the FO relief to Preston but the driver of 90024 stopped where it would have been hard to reasonably get a good picture, plus it would have been a station shot (shock, horror). Also, 92041 rolled into Piccadilly as I was waiting for the train to Wigan, but that would have been a station shot too.

What's wrong with a station shot anyway? Surely the same can be said "oh, typical lineside shot", "oh, typical footbridge shot".

You could say that about most or alot of themes in the past...unless you are able to get out and about all over the place you are going to have to except that you are not going to be able to enter every competition every week.

I do agree with this. As far as im concerened a good picture is a good picture, whether it be taken from a bridge, lineside or from a station.

Thanks to everyone who voted for my shot, it was good to see so many shots of the older AC locos still running too. It's amusing to see a few entries in the free for all that would have been perfect for POTW-405. Hope the topic is to everyone's liking.
