New c2c / NX Livery on 357s

Has anyone seen the new CC livery white with National Express branding.


Which do you prefer - older blue with c2c branding or the new livery?

I saw the new NX livery on a Class 357 a couple of weeks back its ok but not impresive , I prefer the the c2c livery.

Give it a few weeks and they will be a shade of light brown just like the NXEA Mk3 White set and 156419

The new livery is quite appealing, but sadly it will end up being a pale brown/grey as Great Eastern suggested, so I would stick with the older purple-ish colour. Having said that, the white/green that existed briefly in the early 2000s was quite smart, so the new one does have an example to follow.

But can't we just choose 357010 and be done with it?

So do you prefer the c2c livery advertising the fact that they all the units are greener.
To be honest with you I have never seen this unit face up and therefore totally forgot t!

Some units have been in the white livery since the summer (357203 was the first unit in the NX branding and it's been running in that since July and it looks fine still. I like the new livery it looked great in the snow but i prefer the older one.

The old livery looks like it was made in Microsoft paint. Tacky and horrible.

I prefer the green 'greener' set.
The new white livery looks clean and fresh, then the doors open and you get on it, and you realise its the same old train on the inside. and plain white is hardly a liverly. how unimaginative! lol

I still cannot see why NX are repainting/vinyling sets when there's just over a year left of the franchise. Wouldn't a plain white have been a more logical choice? (This goes for the NXEA 321's as well....)

lol - maybe they just want to emthasize on the fact that c2c is currently part of NX Group of Companys - the fact they have a year left... ...'well forget that, that is still a year!'

The old livery - I agree, 156419 is filthy!!! I'm surprised that the NXEA 317s are that clean!

Well

a) this process began before NX lost both the franchise extensions
b) this process and removal of the current vinyls would have happen regardless of the franchise extensions as it part of the 10 year overhaul of the units
c) its only really the doors and logos that are vinyl the rest of the unit IS plain white (they don't have the rest of the NX silver branding). And plain white is the original base colour of the unit.

As for the 321's and 317's it a similar story, the units are going through heavy overhauls, they need repainting as part of this process, regardless of how long the franchise has left

And don't forget doors have to be in contrasting colours these days. But old livery for me!

I don't like either very much. Should go for some old style LNER look and cover the outsides with Teak coloured laminate (maybe IKEA could do it for them...)

I like pretty much both liveries. I haven't really been on a 357, though I've seen them on YouTube and from DLR Stations.
