Old timetables

Does anyone know where I can find an old timetable for the route that covered Weston Super Mare to Hereford (and Beyond) direct - avoiding Newport.

Would be interested to find it.

Services from Liverpool / Manchester area to the West Country almost all used to run via Shrewsbury & Hereford until circa the late 1960s or early 1970s.

Wales and West used to link the two routes at Newport and via the Maindee Curve. Manchester to Waterloo is the one that comes to mind, but there were also trains down to the SW. Someone will be along with the details.....

I suspect the reading room at the NRM have copies of old timetables one cane read for free, but of course that is not so helpful if you are not near York
