A quick search suggests that 800014 is reported. However, I am certain that when I travelled on it, it was 802014. So, with an element of doubt, I need to see one or other unit to confirm either way!

I've just seen 800014 and can confirm that, unless the same names have been applied to two units, you are correct and my memory isn't what it used to be (it used to be my spleen, ha ha).
Attached is an image proving it from about 20 minutes ago.

OK thanks for that. I did see one do an Exmouth - Paignton one day last week, can't remember the exact service though.

158766 was also on the Barnstaple <> Exmouth <> Paignton route today (09/04/19) with 150249 to begin with but then on its own for the afternoon onwards
I know this is off topic for in here, so does anyone know if 43122 is being repainted atm as I last heard it took some coaches up to Wabtec but haven't seen anything about it since??
Yes it is - 122 is one of the First Rail Holdings owned PCs along with 097 and both currently undergoing repaint and mods for the 2+4 short sets, having worked up together on the 17th of Feb.

Not previously reported as far as I can tell, 43094 is now green.
I'm hunting for 43093 but it doesn't seem to have been out much at all since December. Does it still have its 'last HST at Old Oak' stickers?

I saw it yesterday attached to a short set at Laira but it doesn't seem to be in service today. And yes all vinyls etc still in place..

Will the 165s ever be internally refurbished?
I hope so, along with the 166s. Whilst they are a vast improvement on the 150/1s in terms of comfort, they are getting very tatty and grubby.
Noticed the difference in ambience and quality travelling on refreshed 150/2s, 158s and a HST after only travelling on Turbos for quite a while. They really do need doing now.

Off topic a bit but the interiors of the XC trains look like they're cared for. Plus the HST's were refurbished right back in 2007/2008 and still they look fresh! Why do the Turbos apart from 166205 look quite worn?

Not yet - 158763 is the last 2-car 158 in FGW Local Lines, and 158960 is the last 3-car Hybrid 158 in the Local Lines scheme.

Also, 43097 & 43122 are now repainted & modified for GTi use - leaving only 43155 & 43158 to go.
I agree. The 150/2s are very pleasant now and I always take them when possible, no risk of failed aircon and lots of opening windows! The Turbo interiors are dreadful.
I’ve been using both of these units a fair amount recently (by chance.) The metal light covers fell down mid journey on 158766!!

That is correct but some of the 166s are still in FGW blue livery.

None of the 165s are in FGW colours - all now in green.
There are 7 Class 166s in the plain blue/pink style: 166201/202/203/207/209/211/215
I gather these will be heading to the South Coast for a repaint into green in due course.

On the IET stickering front, 800023 has been named after Kathryn Osmond, a former paramedic with the SW Ambulance Service who helped increase research into melanoma (from which she died 2 years ago), and 802008 was named after 9/11 hero and Cornwall man Rick Rescorla (one one end) and the RNLB Solomon Browne (of the Penlee Lifeboat Disaster infamy; on the other end) at the Long Rock Open Day.
Nose logo, bike stickers & 1st Class headlight stripe on: 800s 005, 006, 010, 012, 033, 035, 036, 301, 310, 320 & 321; 802s 016, 019-022 and 102-114.
802114 has yet to enter service.

802 114 has entered in service this week, it failed on its first run, down to the West country.

Apart from 800 001 & 800 002, all GWR IETs are now in passenger service.

Are they still being used as test-bed units? Can't think of much they need to test, other than DOO cameras for the Bedwyn services and perhaps revised coupling interface software.
