Cool, you will enjoy your hours.Absolutely loved it and after 4 weeks of traction it was great to see and do the job albeit a short run, it reinforces the desire to do the job

Nice mate, indeed it does!Nice effort mate. I'm hitting 90 hours, it goes blooming quick!
Cheers, glad it helps!@OneLowban just read your thread from the beginning and have to say it has given me a great insight of what the learning process entails.
Good work!
Cheers, glad it helps!
What stage are you at and if so with who?
Looks like you’re in a great position there mate. Looking like Abellio then?Been successful for WMT at DMI and now booked in for a medical, so looking really positive for a start date after medical...fingers crossed.
Also have been shortlisted for EMT and in the process for GA and in the freightliner talent pool...surely it’s got to happen lol.
Really want this career and I think you need as many applications live as possible.
Fingers crossed, should be fine mate! Thanks, it’s a nice position to be in...just hope I get through the medical now lol.
Keep the updates coming...it’s a great read!
Cheers mate and you let me know how you get on. (If you don’t update it elsewhere on here)Good luck with the rest of your journey.
Yeah it is a lot and the rule book is huge!
Us guys at Cambridge will be signing Class 317 and 379 I've been told. The new trains should be coming into service next year and the whole fleet changed by the back end of 2020 I believe. Exciting times!
Yes you are taught/tested about different rules and situations/workings on the railway in sections. Usually each section there is a module from the rule book for reference.Hey OneLowban,
Question for you:-
Are you tested in stages about sections of the rule book or is it just read and remember?
Is the rule book just Rules and Regs only or does it show you information in relation to train operation(driving)
Nice! It will go quick as long as there’s not too many slow weeks, annual leave etc.Going really well thanks, just had my 50/80 ride out which is great...... onto the next 100 hrs!!!
