I’ve saw a few B7RLEs on the 201 as of recent but just assumed that was down to the E300s being repainted.

I thought this could be due to the Enviro300s getting inspected since the incident at the Clyde tunnel?
Saw one on the 2 last week. Wondered if it was having a last hurrah on its original route

I always liked when the B10BLEs worked from Parkhead. They were originally branded for the 62 but eventually were seen on the 61, 40 and 262 routes. They were always great buses and I much preferred them to the horrid B7Ls that they worked beside. Only criticism was the hard seats which let them down. Baillieston-Clydebank couldn’t have been a very comfy journey!

18 runs off 38 for a few workings
Seen that a few weeks ago . Caley peak , not sure how many they do?
I think they do am EK to City as a 54 plate gemini was on 18 . Usually a CSU or FSU private plate gemini on 18 around 5 too.
How many caley drivers would have route knowledge for the 18?
Theyhave same seats as the tridents ! I seem to more B10bles than ever , theres one on the 64 and fewon 263 and 255.
Wernt they somewhat regulat back in the day on 201?
I take it the Glasgow 240s are Blantyres

is there a E200MMC for the 242 off the road ?
twice this week when in Motherwell noticed a Caetano Dart and a 05 plate on the 242. Spotted today again both of them on the 242. I know one is a peak running but guessing other is covered a defective e200?

No it’s nothing serious but I’m not going to post it on here it has returned to ADL for a warranty repair as far as I’m aware.

Those things happen, our 67085 had to go back for a while when a few months old.

Was on a refurbished B9TL on the 61 today. Really fresh inside and a massive upgrade from the B7TLs which were predominantly on the route previously. I like B9TLs but I do wonder what they consider when meriting routes with new buses. I’d have thought the 61 along with the 2, 60 and 41 would have been due new stock rather than refurbished stock. These routes are very commonly busy and have been for many years but they decide to upgrade routes like the 65 and Lanarkshire routes. It seems odd.
The refurb is good as I said previous and I get not every route can have new buses but I hate the inconsistency or the interiors with First. The hand poles are a different colour from the new stock and they’ve not managed to oust all the green. These are just petty things but it would have been nice to have had some new stock our way for a change.

This is where all First managment are very delusional.
Yip i remember when the 670s arrived at Overtown ADL may aswell have set up camp in the place.
Delusional why? Because they get rid of old stock and replaced it with new stock? Glasgow has had its fair share of new buses aswell with more to come. Yet again we have ppl slating the fact Lanarkshire got new buses check out the accounts and see who made more out of Glasgow no1 and Glasgow no2. There is also competition in Lanarkshire that ppl forget about.

Keep in mind that picking what routes new vehicles on is often done on a financial basis, this is to say routes that bring in good profit and have demand to stimulate further growth. While a certain route looks busy if it has very high numbers of concession pass users that it won't bring in much money. While i think the 38, 75 and 77 getting new vehicles is probably the most ideal options, i do think the Lanarkshire E200MMCs would have been better on the likes of the 9/9A, with midlife singles being refurbished to the same good standard as the Geminis and branded up. At the end of the day whether you agree or not management will have a better idea of where new vehicles should be allocated than we do.
In January 2016 First Aberdeen's route 13 operating Every 20 Minutes gained 7 new Enviro200MMCs, at the time this seemed an odd move as while the 13 is a popular route it was often quite empty off peak, at the time i would have said putting those 7 E200MMCs on the more frequent 11 would have been a better option. However just over 3 years down the line i can safely say it has worked out, a few months after they entered service they added an extra bus to the PVR massively improving reliability and passenger numbers have significantly grown. I can't even remember the last time i saw a late or non running bus on the 13, they've vastly improved the route.
In fairness our 67084-90 are pretty solid reliable buses, 67085 did go back for work when new, however we've not had any issues with it since and we've had no issues with the rest of the batch. The 67xxx Enviro300s are also pretty reliable buses (excluding the rear suspension issues...), I'd say the most problematic buses in the fleet by far are the Streetlites.

As i say in my above reliable and i'm sure you'll probably know, most of the time new buses are allocated on the basis of increasing turnover. Slate the company all you want for doing it, but that is how you run a sustainable business! There's no point putting the best newest vehicles in the fleet on a route which doesn't make money.
Yes I agree with you they are pretty reliable it was just at the beginning there was little issues. At no point did I slate the company it was the posters above who are not happy Lanarkshire got new buses even though Glasgow have had just as many if not more.

Of course its easy to ignore all the B7 Eclipses and Geminis when a couple of money maker routes get new buses, thats a classic Stagey/First manoeuvre, I get that, but of course all the Enviro 300’s on the 1/1A and 2’s arent getting a mention BUT the mind simply boggles why the 9/9A hasn't had new buses, wtf? Of course the 400’s that are found on the 6s and 4s haven't had any refurb yet there newer than the B9’s currently getting fitted out on the 61(to a rather lack of attention to detail I might add, panels still showing ingrained dirt, scuffed, rotten, green poles still on the 400’s, the list goes on).
