Once again Captain Chaos, was the bus station inspector today. Twice i was unable to get on a stand, also my relief driver also experienced problems in getting a stand.

Aye, when I wandered back down to the Travel Office around 1015 I noted a pair of shearings on Bays 2 and 3 the London Coach on number 5, looked like it wobbly mirror so may have made contact with a B10M, no where for the Glasgow to go. no shortage of deckers on the spare stands though.
Never mind I'll be back on tomorrow

Notices on the Bus Station, saying that service 10 is still suspended due to icy roads. However i saw some number 10's running this Afternoon.

Thanks for posting those, I think Im the driver of the MAN in the first link at about 4:13ish - the one that comes up the hill on the X2 but I cant tell for definite. I definitely recognise a few faces

Hi odd working noticed yesterday was an UID Optrae Solo heading north from Garstang on the A6 with "Garstang 40" on the front, at about 8.30 am

Also, have H195/196 and J204/208 been taken out of service following the change in PVR, and are they parked up against the back fence. Any ideas where they are off to next?

Can anyone make sense of this? Is the forced sale on or off? I may be wrong, but it appears to me that Stagecoach WILL have to divest Preston Bus and, once the document is signed, that process will begin. Reading another forum, I am wondering if, in fact, Stagecoach already have a plan.

Remember there is an appeal going on, so the publication of this document is only procedure by the CC.

One interesting undertaking not given by Stagecoach; no competition with ther new owners of Preston Bus. Therefore, stagecoach could, and probably will, if it's sold to a small firm, compete on the PB network straight away.

themaster985 - Stagecoach are legally obliged to accept the CCs decision. It doesn't mean they agree, or that a divestment had been agreed. It's simply as Robert said, a matter of proceedure.

I'll bet there are some substitutions going in today in the north. Pukka screenwash freezing in the tubes and the drum of coolant in the yard is a giant ice lolly--bus engines are boiling over while their heaters don't work cos they're frozen solid!

The J reg's are meant to be taken out of service when 16648 and 16877 are ready to replace them. The H reg's will be with us for a while longer I believe. I had 14195 on the 2 yesterday and saw it on the 42 today.

18361 running the 3 from the Uni to Lancaster bus station at around 1PM this afternoon. Guessing it would have been replaced with a single decker at the bus station.

47006, 47060 and 47061 on Harrington and 101. 47060 sounds a bit poorly.
20129, 20763, 33169 and 35248 on Barkers Footbridge - Maryport 30.
20195 on 100.
20768 on 31.
16734 on Whitehaven - Workington 300.

20765 was on annexe earlier with board stuck on for "600 WHITEHAVEN".
42534 and 20923 also been on annexe when i've went past.

20904 and 20979 on Barkers Footbridge - Carlisle 300.

20737, 20754, 20777 and 20918 on schools on north of river, lined up in that order! (20737 at front, 20918 at back).
16714, 20473, 20753 and 20764 on schools on south of river.
16714 still has "No.1 for Students" branding from its North East days. one side has Stagecoach in Lancashire, the other side just says Stagecoach. Ribble Motor Services legal lettering.

on my way over Greyhound bridge I caught a glimpse of a Trident with branding for 'Connect 6/6A' in a similar fashion to Chorleys Scania deckers. Anyone know if its a new Lancaster branding or if the bus was a visitor

18138 and 18139 are stored at morecambe till monday then going up to barrow. One has stagecoach in lancashire on it`s sides and both still have the ribble legal address.

Thanks Jonesy, I presume legal lettering changes will be applied on arrival at Barrow. Is the Connect branding a new alternatitive to Citi? I like the 'frasier' style skyline outline over the letters

They have branding on them for the 6/6A Barrow-Ulverston they just need ticket machines and `O' licences.

I reckon 20456 might be for tachograph fitting and MOT, it's the only one of Kendal's M regs to not have a tacho yet.

Thats during the day i think it`s every half hour to keep a 10 min service between the uni and lancaster then after 7 it goes every 20 minutes.

Interesting that DallamLad, because i saw it loading up for University as No 3, about 1.45

Just had a think about and its probably an extra service just running between Lancaster and the Uni as that section of the route has not been effected by the timetable changes. In other words the 3 between Lancaster and the Uni is more frequent then the other sections of the route. Not sure if this includes the 4 as well...

And I've just refreshed the page after posting this and noticed that its been mentioned already lol weird sorry!

Kendal marshall dart 33166 was in the yard today with a disposal sign in the window.

That will make the drivers at Kendal happy, as they were always complaining about that bus.

Just checked the timetable for the No 3, the short workings are University term time only.
Timed to depart the Bus Station at xx15 & xx45, and the Uni at xx07 & xx37, So would fit in with the stightings of DallamLad and myself.

replacement was supposed to be 47008 from Chorley.
