that would honestly be fantastic but if they did that they would need 67011 to be put into the WSMR pool and have another 2 sets be done up at either Marcroft or Donny which would be fantastic so they could run bi-hourly services but cannot see it! :(

67011 was on Caledonian Sleeper service to Fort William earlier in December when I was up there.

And the latest change has seen the 07:23 retimed to 07:33, 12:17 to 12:20 (and extended back to Wrexham), 16:33 to 16:30, and services making "full calls" at both Banbury and Leamington Spa.

Cheers,

Barry
The 12:17 departure from Marylebone has been retimed to 11:20, not 12:20, to arrive in Wrexham at 15:16, in time to return as the 15:25 from Wrexham. A pretty tight turn round!

There were indeed originally 5 trains each way between Wrexham and Marylebone on Monday to Friday, so there is the possibility of restoring this timetable eventually - presumably it would not need extra stock or locos as it has already been done!

Extra stops have indeed been made on several occasions at Bicester North, for shopping trips to Bicester Village:

and earlier this year for fans of Oxford United to travel to Wrexham for the match:

Cheers, Geoff

I'll be looking to travel to Wrexham from London soon. Does anybody know if the new stock is allocated to a particular service such as the 11:20 or 16:30?

I trevelled on the 09.04 from Tame Bridge Parkway to Marylebone in October and THAT was all new stock, so I'm guessing that's about 07.00 from Wrexham ?

My second trip with WSR - first trip in August was atrocious, second was better

Have they been formally absorbed by Chiltern Trains yet ? ( the lady in the buffet told me in October that they would become Chiltern from 1st December )

Yes they have, but the W/S brand remains. A few prophets of doom were putting it around that the W/S brand would go,after they read the tea leafs in their
cups.

No they haven't. I believe discussions are still ongoing with the DfT as to whether they'll allow it.

With all due respect, I believe?

W/S is an open access TOC remember.
