Could be, although I'd reckon that Central Geminis 767-825 will gradually move to Marine (and maybe some to Longstone) while the 55 plate B7TLs leave Longstone and Marine to be sold over the course of the year.

Just because the 55s are older donesn't neccesarily mean they will go first. I reckon the E400XLBs will take all Central B7s out of service then with future batches the remaining B7s will be removed

You could well be right there actually, they could well do that, focusing on just getting rid of them rather than cascading to get rid of them by age.

Aswell look at how long its taken to sell the 52/53 plate tridents. 629/633 are still there and have been since September 30th 2017 due to their age. Newer 04s have only been out a few months so the same might happen with the B7s, they could take the 56s out of service first so they dont sit in Marine car park for ages

One of the Levantes? To be a pedant, technically it's not the first second hand vehicle to Lothian Motorcoaches, the have three Vanhools from an operator in London and a Plaxton Paragon from Stagecoach. Not to mention the 10 B9's from Lothian...

To be really pedantic, the B9s are not second hand, Lothian Motorcoaches didn't purchase them, they were a transferr from one part of the company to another.

Anyone know when the 10 ex Go-Ahead vehicles will arrive. 4 for Lothian Country to allow 591-594 to go into general service and 6 for East Coast Buses to replace 20795-800. 20794 will be replaced by 20942 when it returns

Yet again this morning I found myself sat next to a loose decor/access panel on the top deck, which vibrated continuously as the bus was moving, making a horrible racket. Any bump, ripple or small pothole made the din even worse.

This seems to be a very common fault on the buses I usually ride (11 and 4). A cursory glance at the offending panels suggests that the fix should simply require the securing bolts to be tightened up (if I had the appropriate tool with me I'd be tempted to do it myself!) Is there any good reason why this apparently simple maintenance seems not to get done? Or is there a more fundamental issue with the design which makes the fixings particularly prone to failure?

Because the maintenance department has over 700 active service vehicles to maintain and a further 30 odd heritage vehicles, simple things tend to slip through the net!

It's not known weather 20942 will return, infact, its roof was scrapped shortly after the incident and certain exterior panels were used to re panel some of the Maisies when they were repainted. That's not to say it has been scrapped, parts may have been used in a pinch, but its definitely not confirmed as returning.

East Coast can maintain a service with 1 less decker, so they could feasibly replace 20794-20800 with 6 buses rather than 7. It may just mean that some peak services run as single deckers with duplicates or loan vehicles from the main fleet, should one of the other deckers be off for maintenance.

I believe in the next 2 years more deckers are due to join ECB, weather these be second hand or brand new, that remains to be seen.

Some of the current buses sometimes get stuck as it is. The 124 in North Berwick would be fun as well.

Haha well as mentioned earlier the 104/113 are in need of an upgrade with buses, though the 100 seaters in Ormiston and Haddington would be a disaster

Thorntons have done a good job of clearing it. Alot have went to Ensign and other dealers with some going straight to new owners.

Back up to 7. 660/668 are in there now with 665/650/629/633 still there aswell as 20627 went in as i was leaving

I have calculated it to be a PVR of 22 with 17 at Longstone and 5 at Central.

I think on a Saturday it's around 18 with a 12:6 Longstone/Central split.

On a Sunday it appears to use 11 buses with 8 of those from Central and only 3 from Longstone.

Just reallised we have 11 Ex Go-Ahead B9s coming up, not 10 wich gives a 7:4 split and a B9 for each B7 at ECB
