Has anybody been to this place? It seems to include both motorbuses and TROLLEY BUSES! Classical ones. As well as some trams. Could someone rate their experience.

I've only been once, to attend the 50th anniversary of the last London trolleybuses in 2012, when all bar one of the remaining existing ex-London trolleybuses was in attendance and operating, albeit it's a rather limited running area. The old London tram was also in operation: I'd last been on one of those as a 4 year old boy! I enjoyed my afternoon, knowing it was unlikely that so many London trolleys would ever appear together again, but I can't really comment on their 'normal' days.

I’d say it’s well worth a visit, quite a lot of unusual stuff there, even if I don’t know exactly what I’m looking at in the bus world. The London tram was what I went for, for nostalgic family reasons.

There are loads of videos of it on Youtube and you should have a look at them to make your mind up. Though I have never been, it looks like a good day out.

I was there last September for the Saturday of the annual Trolleybus Weekend, and I loved it. All available trolleybuses (11) were in use, although some did more work than others, and two trams were also running. On the Saturday the museum was open until 9pm, so some fantastically atmospheric twilight and night-time running, along with photography (Shameless plug) and filming, was possible. Quite a few preserved buses were also around, running trips to Lowestoft and Beccles, so plenty to do. I rather enjoyed some Lodekka thrash to Beccles and back along the A146. I rather neglected the narrow-gauge railway.

I knew that at least a couple of Q1s were definitely still in existence in Spain.

No, I didn't manage to get a ride on the Diddler, as my visit was on the Sunday and was rather delayed by an accident in East London which got me there only in the afternoon, by which time the Diddler was out of action and clearly in trouble. Yes, it's a big regret, but not as much as the fact I never got to get a ride on Bexleyheath's trolleybuses before they were withdrawn, despite dozens of hours spent observing them in Woolwich, as I always either had a bike with me or didn't have the necessary fare!

It is definitely worth a visit. It has a very nice collection of buses and trolleybuses and trams as well as a narrow gauge railway. I have been a few times and always enjoyed my visit.
