At the moment....

Starting the year on the RhB in Switzerland
PTG tour in Portugal at the end of January
Two tours in Switzerland in April and August

Plenty more, but need to sort out exactly what - can't do it all in the time available!

Very good.

I'm very much looking forward to going somwhere abroad and hopefully starting a new job in Aug/Sept. Can't wait for July; it's my birthday and a lot warmer than it is now, but that comes round every year!

Also looking forward to the election!

Do well at my first year at Uni
Buying a Devon Day Ranger for £7 (inc. YP discount) and travelling round Devon by train on a fine spring day
Going to the WSR's Spring Steam Gala
And, what we are all waiting for, the day Gordon Brown is voted out of office. Unfortunately, I don't have much faith in the person who will surely replace him though...

Only one thing planned for 2010, which is an Interrail around Europe including Czech, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, France and maybe Hungary.

Things which I'll expect/hope to happen are;
Many more laughs on some (of the few) summer Saturday trains
Maybe getting an Apprentice on the railways
Doing well in GCSEs
Getting another year closer the 125Group's ultimate goal!
Some unexpected railtours
And any decent service trains.....

I'm looking forward to the election. Brown will most likely be out. I'm not a fan of Cameron, but he surely can't do a worse job... On the same tone, an independence referendum. Perhaps. Maybe. Sometime.

Oh, and the opening of the Airdrie-Bathgate Railway Line, which means I'm going to get 334s in the morning now :D

And I'm going to Germany in Easter, so that'll be fun.

The Grand Pier, Weston-super-Mare rebuilding being completed, so that the place reopens as the best pier in the whole world, less than two years after it was completely destroyed by fire.

Wow, can't believe it was that long ago! How is the new build progressing, and how are things on the jobs/tourism front down there? I'm sure you said you used to work there, didn't you?

Oh I think most of the English population would welcome that and glad to be shot of Scotland. :):):):)

One condition of course, that you take back all your crap MPs that we have been saddled with, and of course your citizens who are down here whinging about the English but quite happy to work here

There's likely to be a referendum in Wales in the autumn about giving full law making powers to our assembly, as per part 4 of the Government of Wales act 2005. Autonomy in Scotland has increased the desire in Wales too, so every step you take there helps the nationalist cause here! :)

Also, before 2009's gone I might just find out if a recent job application was successful. If so, that'll make 2010 much happier for me paricularly the finance side of things.

The building is going up at an astonishing rate, and plans are in place for tons of incredible new attractions and rides inside.
Check out the webcam here:

Im still employed by the company, having spent the last 18 months doing about 97 different jobs from security, to website work, to running a new small arcade, and also having endless meetings to discuss what we're going to do with the place. But when it reopens I can get back to my real job. Counting all the money!!!!!
