Hello, what's this?
This week only, or so it seems, a new departure about 5.10 out of Sheffield for Manchester Airport, 1B61. Doesn't stop at Stockport, didn't stop at Dore on Monday but did yesterday and today and is planned to do so tomorrow and Friday. Arrives Piccadilly about 6.00 and before 6.30 at the Airport. Forms out of 5B61 out of Crofton.
Single fare from Dore to Piccadilly £5.00 tomorrow and Friday, a good deal for anyone wanting to get to the airport fairly early.
Trialling a possible addition to the timetable from May or December? But running in service makes it interesting. Making use of an ECS movement? I wonder how many people will have used, or use it?
A likely candidate for the quietest train thread if anyone is around to report it!
