Are Class 378/1's able to work Euston-Watford?

No because the 378/1s are only capable of running on 750 V third rail.

The whole of the Euston - Watford DC route is err DC so with tripcocks fitted as stated they could! I'm not sure they would be able to access Willesden depot on DC though!

Why couldn't they access Willesden tmd.

It’s an AC depot. The DC only stretches to the arrival road from low level so would need the depot pilot. But as no planned maintenance of 378s is done there wouldn’t be an issue if they could be sent over to ELL as the planned 10-car moves dragged by an DV set from Euston.

Only one 378/1 has ever worked on the dc route from Willesden depot to Watford, and it was 378151 on de-icing duties early on in the project. Double manned to over come the requirement for tripcocks
