Just seen four of Battersby's yellow coaches running empty into the underpass.

It`s student night at the carlton on morecambe possibly using them as well as our R-reg deckers.

The reason I asked whether the Versas were in Stagecoach livery was because as far as I know Stagecoach doesn't have any Versas on order. That said, there was only supposed to be one Solo and Devon have more than one 59 plate example.

I'm not always 100% accurate on my bus identification, but from the front they looked like that thing Preston has one of, they looked Optare-ish single deckers anyway

Also arriving on trade plates today were three more Scanias, PX59CTE/K/U at least two of which were given branding, i noted the graphics guys still around at 6pm at Chorley, possibly getting some other Scanias done

There were 5 coaches altogether and isn't it a bit early for the Carlton? I thought they began doing runs around 9/10? Could be wrong its just always the time I've gone lol.

struggling to see the logic with that.
we send 3 deckers to Carlisle, to get 3 deckers off reserve, one of which was originally planned for Carlisle (16874).

The three Deckers need taco's for the 300 service

Dave the Bus - you said they were PO 59, if I remember correctly, and therefore they might have been Enviro 300s for Merseyside as some if not all of that batch are on those plates and they are still being delivered - hence the southbound movement.

Highly possible, But they had gone past the turn off for the M58, but then again, may have been heading for the A580 (East Lancs)

didn't think one was needed for Carlisle to Northside. i've saw non tacho'd buses do Carlisle to Workington quite a bit.

More details on the Manchester Olys:
The MAN engined Tridents will be cascading ex-Bullocks and ex-Maynes Tridents and some ALX400s on to Magic Bus work.
The Olys that will be withdrawn are a right mixed bag, but all not fitted with CCTV. Most are Palatime Is, with a handfull of RLs and Palatine IIs, of varying heights.

The 2 ex-Maynes East Lancs Cityzens are expected to be sold out of group as non-standard.

The Dart SLFs displaced by the E200s will either be sold or cascaded elsewhere, depending on the agreement with the original company (Ie. leased or owned)

14204 seen heading back to Whitelund with another H reg Leyland at around 11.30/40. Later 14204 was on the 2, so I assume something failed somewhere.

Saturday i did a private hire to York, on Sunday i did a private hire to Tadcaster, then on Tuesday & Yesterday i was struck on the 8C's in Lancaster all day.

Cumbria CC, has or is to send out invites to operators to tender for the contracts, with the new contracts starting in February. Until then KLCH will be running the services.

Really glad to hear its going well I hope the CC find a decent contractor. As long as its not KLCH it'll be OK
