Waiting overnight here, we then board the 05:55 Chathill flyer Northern service 2A00 to Chathill arriving at 06:46 Wednesday morning.

We don't really have any option other than to re-board the service southbound: the 07:10 Northern service to Alnmouth, arriving there at 07:22 on a Wednesday.
Walking 0.3 miles down to the roundabout on the A1068, we find the 07:27 driving off, so we now choose to wait for the 08:18 Arriva North East service MAX X18 to Greensfield, opp Retail Park (next to Homebase near the A1/A1068 Junction), arriving at 08:34 Wednesday morning.

I made the journey to Newcastle Airport on the Metro on Saturday evening - Michael Portillo was a fellow passenger!
