Hope we hear shortly!
I was asked to start in Nov but couldn’t. They told me “we definitely want you for the role, but it will be Feb or May start for Crewe.”

I can’t wait to find out, even if it’s 3 months away. It’s the unknowing of when I will start and I’d love to hand in my notice. Not that I hate my current job, just this is the dream job.

Very promising stuff then. Can’t wait to get the nod too!

I think judging from what I've heard, which is 12 weeks between a course, then there should be courses running Feb, May, July, October of next year. This ties in with people being told possibly Feb, May for a course and ties in with me hearing they're running 4 courses next year. It's then just a case of what depots are in need of drivers the most I reckon.

I'm the same as you waiting for Crewe with very little patience haha too excited and like you say even if it's 3 months it's nice to know for sure so I can quit and plan a holiday in between.

Has anybody else had an email this afternoon stating they’re looking at instructors etc. I’m in the pool waiting for Birmingham. I think it’s just a communication email and would suggest they’re now looking at allocations for those in the pool. I’m hoping it’s not a change in the companies circumstances

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems the email only went out to those wanting Crewe or Birmingham? I'm Reading and have not received this email.

Have a look on the Freightliner various thread mate, this question will be better answered there are you're not alone.

Yeah I have already seen it on the other thread however thought that maybe those whom are in a pool specific thread may have shed a bit more light on it. It seems to me that it’s just the next step in the wait

I think you're probably right there mate, I don't think anyone who received that email knows exactly what it means and are all just as confused.

Hi

We are currently in the process of reviewing our Trainee Train Driver requirements for next year.

We still have opportunities open. However, we need to ensure that we look at business needs, training instructors and candidates etc.

I would like to thank you for your continued patience. We will be in touch as soon as we can with a further update.

When I got the email I was on a bit of a downer but all it says it exactly what was said during the dmi.

An old boy told me if your unsure look what’s not said. Nowhere does it say we’re on hold, nowhere does it say they have reduced positions.

Maby it’s a positive position to take but anybody In the pool has done the hard part

It's all positive if you are in the pool then you will eventually be picked. It's all down to limited spaces for courses and training that's all.

Sounds like they are waiting for everyone to finish tests and interviews before allocating jobs
