Not so, as that that station was situated past the junction where we left the previous line to access the Rugby and Stamford Railway, as stated on the journey preamble.
Time to see exactly what has occurred. The preamble said that the Northampton to Peterborough line was a link line (and a very short line at that) with no closed stations between the GNR Wansford Branch Line (where we have already named all the closed stations on that line) and the Rugby and Stamford Railway. I deliberately did not show the line of the LNWR Peterborough East to Rugby line on the journey preamble, with its three closed stations of:- Nassington
King's Cliffe
Wakerley & Barrowden
Therefore for the sake of clarity, I confirm that having passed through the open heritage station of Wansford, the first closed station on the line of the Rugby and Stamford Railway heading towards Rugby would be at.....
I was looking at the wrong part of my map showing the line through the open station of Stamford, I am now confident that we can continue without any further hiccups.
