We then get the 21:01 Great Western Railway service to Eastleigh, arriving at 22:17 Thursday evening, enjoying the rarity of GWR running via Southampton Airport Parkway and Eastleigh (1 late-evening train Weekdays only in each direction)

We then get the 23:52 Arriva Kent and Surrey service MAX 34 to Westfield (Cricket Pitch), arriving at 00:01 Friday morning.

After spending the night (somewhere), we walk the short distance to The Mayford Arms where we catch the first southbound bus of the day - the 0726 Arriva Kent and Surrey service MAX 35 to Guildford College. The time is now 0739 on Friday morning.

Did we bring our tent - there's a few wooded areas nearby! Anyway, although it is still valid, that isn't the first service of the morning - there is a 06:31 and 06:59 as well, on route MAX 34, and they still go to Guildford College.

We have a strange urge to go and visit the laboratory where the 2007 outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease came from, so we walk through to the stop called Recreation Ground (7 minutes, 0.3 miles) and get the 08:04 Buses Excetera (who have been operating it for 2 years now, google maps) service 28 to Pirbright (Bullswater Common Road), arriving at 08:19 Friday morning.

Fascinating fact: The next bus stop south from Guildford College is one of three stops called Queens Road on the route of the MAX 34/35 between Guildford and Camberley.

Noting what was said at the start of the posting above that made reference to the use of available earlier services, the above extract from the rules of the quiz seem clear enough.

Indeed, GTR overnight trains were apparently running 60E according to RTT .Still, makes a change from the usual lateness round there!
