If it’s run by OPC you will need a PC/laptop with separate mouse for the tests. That was the case for me with FL a few months back.

It’s run by company Ceb Global SHL..anyone done any of there assessments?
Sounds like a standard aptitude tests that companies have, rather than a full Visual Search Exercise (VSE) type test the OPC have (The ones requiring a mouse due to the type of test). If its a standard Verbal/Numerical reasoning test, you'll find it much easier with a computer, and apparently results have shown those who do these tests on a tablet or phone don't score as well due to concentration levels. So basically, you can probably get away with using a tablet, but you'll do better using a computer. I've also heard that doing these on a tablet or mobile device can cause strange things to happen such as screen freeze or not loading properly.

Are these tests part of the trainee driver process or was it a different job you had applied for?

Did practice SJT and it was all about Thomas Cook Cabin crew ... really relevant...!! And the calculation one seemed a bit extreme for the job that’s applied for tbh ... still managed 70% not sure what pass mark would be

It’s not meant to be Railway orientated, as the principle is the same whatever industry it is you’re applying for. It’s all about your judgement and how you’d deal with situations. Some SJTs aren’t work related at all. Surprised they actually told you how you performed, not seen that before. You usually just have to await a yay or nay.

I found this to be a similar case with many conductor assessments. The calculation part of the assessments is more like sitting an A-Level higher maths exam than a conductor assessment...
