HI, there was been speculation that In-Cab signalling will be coming to the GWML it was even in the gwml upgrade video. If so when will it come and will it allow 140mph running?

They have mentioned in cab signalling but have they really mentioned 140mph?I think you could say the GW plans have been changed/postponed, not least because of the continuing delay to finishing the current upgrade.
Cab signalling (ERTMS/ETCS) will roll out on the ECML first, northwards from King's Cross and Moorgate towards Peterborough.
Next in line is probably the middle section of the trans-Pennine route.
But first we already have Thameslink ATO (for 700s) and Paddington-Heathrow is being installed now, for use with 345s/387s.
140mph on either ECML or GWML is well down the priority list.
ERTMS/ETCS on the GWML has apparently been abandoned. In 2012 the plan was to overlay ETCS on existing signalling in what was to be the first main line installation of ERTMS, in order to replace the obsolete GWR-ATP cab signalling. Paddington to Heathrow was due to be completed by Sep 2017, and to Bristol by mid 2019. Since then all reference to this project has vanished (except within the Heathrow tunnels). Maybe this is due to the apparent incompatibity between ETCS and GW-ATP ? There is still no sign that this has been solved. The situation is very unclear, Instead there is a statement in the latest Digitisation Strategy that a future study is to be undertaken into the life extension of GWR-ATP.
