Volvo Oly's are odd things haha.
the ones at LL are knackered, but i was on CE's 16330 and 16355 yesterday and both of those were decent!!! shame 16358 wasn't as good as 16355 is!!! think its fair to say that LL really does get the sh*te!

Ours are looking better now that they are having refurbs and repaints.
16662 is last one to do.
Dont know about 16664 and 16665 yet as they might be going or staying.

When you say Scanias, do you mean brand new SCanias Jonesy? It seems daft to me to refuse brand new in favour of 3 year old stuff....

I wish Kendal had ahd the chance to get Scanias, the Tridents jsut can't cope with the 555.

OpenOffice is a totally free piece of software, and can be used to view and edit xls files.
it can be downloaded from here. if you don't want to download, you can order a CD with the setup files on.

Yes, they are 2 completely different buses effectively.

Both are built on the Trident 2 Chassis, which was given a complete revamp ~2003. The ALX400 body was also completely reworked at the same time. This included (I think), new window style & arrangement, moving the fuel tank under the stairs, and changing from Euro3 to Euro 4 engines.

Its just a shame those fleetlists are in xls rather than pdf

I eventually ended up re-installing open office because of some really old rich text files i needed to access for the first time in about ten years.. So the upshot is i can now open files such as .xls etc

Open office is a good programme, gives you all the features of Microsoft office, but for none of the price!! Link

Oops, looks like i jumped in before reading the rest of the posts... well if anything, it proves its good if theres a few of us on here singing its praises!!

whilst i am editing, i think i mentioned somewhere that tridents are going to Preston to do the 68 service, with Volvo's being displaced, a few of which are expected at Chorley to replace the likes of 14201 seeing as 16665 hasn't turning up yet..

If Barrow was inquiring about them, but have been told about the hills at Horwich etc, then they would be better not bothering..

So I take it we can assume 16664/65 are no longer moving? Saying that they wouldn't move until their replacements were ready for service which they are not.

In reality we're not going to know where the Tridents end up until they actually move lol.

53338 has had a minor accident on the X4! less than a week in service! it happened on a tight bridge near Braithwaite, damaging the side lockers.

It could be anything from a slight re-timing of one or two journey's, to a complete rewrite of the timetable. Like every thing else, we will have to wait and see.
