Its not couples its groups of chavs who canot move from a shop doorway to let someone through.

You must see them alot like me.

I live on a lewisham estate it is crap, and big groups of chavs roam the streets with there motorised "Chav Cycles" which are battered up and they nearly kill you with them with there lack of experience of driving a motorised bike,I could go on with the things they do.....

It does irritate me when couples insist on using the whole pavement, where it is narrow, rather than walking in single file.

As for neds blocking the shop doorway, the words "excuse me" followed by walking through the middle of them tends to work wonders.

Potential pathing conflict!

I totally agree with your point though, it probably comes from them being safely inside their cars 99% of the time, where they take priority over the humble pedestrian.

This is probably true - the troubles I've had in this respect have been with unremarkable looking middle aged couples.

A very good point. Although, it can be quite entertaining to laugh at BMW M3 drivers who get stuck behind such people...

People that park outside a shop, regardless of where it is, put their hazard lights on, then walk into said shop. They completely block one side of the road and cause traffic in both directions to slow down and manoeuvre around them!!<(

A specific example is a 'corner shop' at the edge of my estate, which is on a tight bend. People stop on the bend, and do exactly what I've said above. This particularly annoys me! :-x:-x

Youre obviously not:

a) a smoker

b) a delivery driver.

The added benefit of seeing stressed out people you have inconvenienced is a bonus. I'm normally a nice guy. Put me in a car.......<D

Truck drivers who decide to overtake other trucks thats going only 0.0010mph slower and causing a bloody long tail back behind them. I hope some truck drivers on this forum so they can see me say "FOOLS" <( Oh, and whilst I am on my high horse, this stupid left-right indication to say thanks after the "you can pull in wink" from the slightly slower truck is naff!! Grow up truck drivers and let the faster lane traffic flow rather than be obnoxious awkward mo-fo's causing tailbacks....

It's usually one truck sticking to the limit of 50, and the other doing 56.

Oh, and whilst I am on my high horse, this stupid left-right indication to say thanks after the "you can pull in wink" from the slightly slower truck is naff!!

Actually, that's the truck in front thanking the one behind. The truck being passed will almost always flash his lights to let the one passing know he can move back across without crashing into the other one.
It's the same as waving or flashing your hazards when people let you into their lane or out of a turning. Or do you find this annoying as well?

If I flash my lights at someone to let them change lanes then I'd normally expect either a wave or left-right once or twice afterwards, that's certaintly what I'd do. NEVER give hazards on a Motorway for this but do give hazards in towns instead of left-right is the rule I've always abided to.

I usually wave; don't bother with hazards or left-righting which can cause confusion for other motorists. The first time this happened to me (I let a bus out and he hazarded to thank me) I slammed the brakes on as I thought he was going to do an emergency stop

What irritates me? 3+2 seating arrangements. We have this debate a lot on here, but they simply do not work in Glasgow. People leave the middle seat empty because using it is considered an invasion of personal space. It's not uncommon for a "bay" of ten seats to have 6 or 7 people using them with people opting to stand.

I worked out on my train home (a 320) today that, if it was a 334 (which has 2+2 seating in the end carriages), the (end) carriage I was in would have allowed so many more people to sit down that no-one would have needed to stand and, indeed, there would have been seats not being used.

you just reminded me of something else that annoys me!

Being sick I can handle. No problem. But I really do not enjoy it when it starts to come out of my nose.
