Bit of a long shot but we passed a 66 being loaded with ballast somewhere between Tyseley and Small Heath yesterday at around 4pm. It was slightly obscured by wagons in front of it and from what I could see the number looked like 66820 which seems to be incorrect as this number doesn't exist.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks
Most probably 66620 about to depart on 6E82 Small Heath to Tunstead. Would certainly make sense given the number you thought you saw!

Morning Gents.

Still in the West Midlands trying to find 150107. Any idea where it's hiding today please?

Many thanks

A few more from my outing yesterday that I could do with a little assistance on if any of you good good people would be so kind.....

  • What 172 was working with 172214? I've logged 172234 on both occasions I saw them but this number doesn't exist.
  • What worked the 2C50 1455 WMT service from Kidderminster to Dorridge? I was on it but forgot to nab the number
  • Which 158 worked the 1G45 1330 Aberystwyth to Birmingham International ATW service alongside 158831?
  • What worked the 1K27 1852 AXC service from Birmingham New Street to Leicester?
  • Which 323 unit worked the WMT 2B78 1811 service from Lichfield TV to Bromsgrove?
  • Which 323 unit worked the WMT 2B80 1846 service from Four Oaks to Bromsgrove?
  • Was 2K93 1812 Rugeley TV to Birmingham New Street a 153/170 combo? If so was it 153354 and 170632 I'd seen earlier in the day?
  • Which XC 170 units worked 1D76 1919 Birmingham New Street to Nottingham?
Sorry for the long list but if anyone can help with some or all then it would be great :)

Thanks a lot

Lads - I was hoping someone could help with the following.
Between Newport and Cardiff today 13:27-13:50 I passed:

4B42 12:35 Margam - East usk
4O57 13:29 Wentloog > not sure Freight-liner
There was also what looked like a "double header" of 66 on the front on another freightliner either just arrived or due to depart.

Any numbers would be most appreciated!

Hi all,

For yesterday, does anyone know which 345 did the Crewe - Rugby and return testing?

Also, for today which 345 was being tested? I thought I read 345036 but I think that's already been delivered so I could be mistaken.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

I saw it pass Stafford just before 10pm last night and I also read it as 345036. Are we definitely saying it would have been 026?

345036 was recorded on another forum at Old Oak Common a week ago. 345026 was delivered from Asfordby to Crewe (seen by me en route) at the beginning of this week. Make of that what you will...

It may be a bit late to go back and look this up, but I was on the 16.40 Euston to Picc pendolino on Monday 17/09, and coming to type up my records realise I didn't note which one. Can anyone help please?

To add to this I've seen numerous people's sightings of 026 on trainlogger as being at various locations along the WCML this week (Crewe and Nuneaton mainly), whilst 036 has been noted at Old Oak Common...

And add to this that I recorded 026 at Stafford on Monday of this week and have only just realised...........(duh!)

Edit: still a bit strange how 2 of us in different locations managed to log this one as the same incorrect number though

That's what I was thinking. I'm almost certain it was 036...

Well (as you will see from my request post above) I make notes against any numbers I'm unsure about in the hope I can get confirmation on here and I didn't feel the need to do this with the 345 as I was happy that 036 was correct. That said, it was dark and at the end of a long day for me and my eyes were certainly weary by then. I think a question mark may have to remain on this one unless someone can clear it up via TOPS

Yeah, I agree. It's also hard to get the numbers on those, a bit like the Voyagers

I’d wager your eyesight after a long day is still more accurate than TOPS ;)

Haha I'm not so sure about that. I think my list above shows how much of a struggle I had late on yesterday, particularly when that last bit of natural daylight disappeared from the end of New Street

Is it usually just one unit stored at Crewe during the week and is it the same one being tested throughout the week?
