and do any of these issues spoil the enjoyment of the films in question?

Spot on. That is part of what makes these films classics. Who cares about the banging head stormtrooper in Star Wars or the mini cooper in Ben Hur. It is often a bit of fun to see them. Unless it`s so obviously affects the film but that`s another issue.

In the Australian TV mini series Bodyline they used local child actors to play an English player's family. They only had a couple of lines but the accents just jumped out at you.

Not a date inconsistency but in Mission:Impossible aren’t they on a train from London to Paris which in the movie is a regular TGV and not Eurostar?

Yes, and the Channel Tunnel is shown as a single, two-track tunnel.
The problem with errors such as this, if indeed it is a problem, is that people may think that that is what the Channel Tunnel is really like and if they visit the real thing and see that it is two single line tunnels, their reaction might be, "when did they change it?", rather than "that stupid film got it wrong".

Not a date inconsistency but..in James Bond "Dr No" Bond is crossing Continental Europe by train and a BR Black 5 is in one of the shots!

In North by Northwest a man (with a gun) and woman are standing in front of each other. Knowing that the gun will go off; a kid in the background puts his fingers in his ears.
That’s not a date inconsistency though. It was a classic example of filming multiple ‘takes’ of a ‘surprise’ that had ceased to be. Should have used a different kid each time.

From Russia with love, actually, but that one has always grated with me ever since I first saw it.

Regarding Braveheart, the princess he had an affair with was like 4 years old when he was executed.

really? honestly?
To expand on this with an example. Episode 1 of the Bodyguard series starts with a 47on a train to Euston. I immediately thought it was either set in the 80s/90s or that it was a flashback. Turns out it wasn’t and it was just cheap production.
