Hi, I have an Arriva Trains Wales Class 158 from Bachmann, and am wondering if it is eligble for DCC Sound!, If so, where will the best place to get it from and any advice as it will be the first time i've used DCC Sound.

Thanks in advance

As I understand DCC sound (having never used it myself), any train can be fitted, but many must be hard wired. There may be some modifications to the chassis needed. A quick google search found this (select 'british sounds')

With all of the videos I've seen with a 158 with sound, the horn is not accurate, which is kinda disapointing.

not that straight forward as they are not DCC ready units but with a bit of skill and reading up there is no reason that you cannot get a soundchip/decoder for a 158, if you have the kit to blow your own chips you can save different horn tones etc.

This sort of question would be better directed at one of the many yahoo group forums on DCC

While we're talking about 158 models, anyone got any ideas on what a good price range for OO scale First ScotRail liveried 158s are?
