Naming ScotRail HSTs

Should mention Alexander Flemming as we both went to Kilmarnock Academy

Lets not forget Robert Millar, only British Tour de France King of mountain winner. As an added bonus the other power car can be Philippa York, her new name after his sex change!

There is a very central belt focus to this. All the suggestions are good but it need to be balanced from those from elsewhere.

She is the other authentic genius of Scottish cycling, as Robert Millar she was arguably Britain's greatest road cyclist, competing at a time when there was next to no funding in this country as cycling was very much a niche sport and talented riders had to try their luck in teams on mainline Europe and didn't have the team sky juggernaut behind them.

As a Historian of Medicine I'd argue the toss over Fleming, Howard Florey and Ernst Chain developed penicillin as useable drug after Fleming had sat on it for a decade.

It would have to be turned at each terminal then, so that Ferguson was always ahead of Dalglish? :P

Might be a slightly boring suggestion, but I'd happily see a power car named after the former BR Scotland Region General Manager Chris Green....he did after all create 'ScotRail' as a distinct brand!
Funnily enough, I saw in a book that he proposed cascaded HSTs for Scotrail InterCity services....in 1984!
Could paint it in the original ScotRail livery too - like the InterCity livery, but with a blue stripe instead of a red 'un.
Chris Green obviously went on to bigger things with Network SouthEast & Virgin, but it's fair to say that Scotrail owes him a great deal.
