I originally applied early last year but failed stage one in October, I redid stage one and then stage two after my six month gap and had my dmi 27th last month

I passed the dfft today, been told I'll hear back in a couple of days about a date for the dmi and they are looking at an October start date. Sounds promising

Received a call today, I applied for Bishops but have been accepted at Cambridge subject to a medical with a start date of 8th October.

Makes the travelling 60ish mins as opposed to 30 but I am over the moon! If anyone gets accepted at bishops but would prefer Cambridge let me know.

Same here! Well done. I'm looking at train from Stortford to Cambridge leaving my car at Stortford. Cambridge was my second choice but hey ho I'm in !

Well done chaps. I had my interview for Southend today. Been clarified. Start as depot and they still do a form of progression. Just waiting to hear back.

I've gone for cambridge and told they are looking at the October date too subject to passing the interview. Any pointers for the interview, is it similar to the mmi?

I had, apart from the dfft which me and two others had to do yesterday but there was a group of 15 or so doing their psychometric for the first time too

If its in bishops stortford then the manager is really nice its more like a chilled chit chat thats one of the main reason im taking the job hard to find managers like that

Ah okay Cheers. I didn't make it past the sift and was just curious if they were only going for people they didn't need to assess and we're being 'cheap' as I know the assessments cost, which would have made me feel a little better . Obviously not though.

They seem to do the assessments in house so can't see that it costs them much if anything anyway

Would those be 15 from the most recent recruitment drive?

Perhaps they are taking the best applicants first, but not rejecting the rest in case they are required. I have not had a rejection or invite to assessment.

Me too, I know what you mean. Eyesight test is another thing, not sure what else to be honest.

If your bmis over 40 then you would have a problem thats huge so dont wori.

Touch your toes is a new one to me.

I'm a bit concerned about bmi, mine is higher because I used to use the gym a lot and it's made me heavier, now I'm carrying a little extra round the middle though according to nhs I'm about a stone over ideal weight for my height

Don’t worry so much about your BMI as long you can move freely without any complications then you have nothing to worry about. Don’t forget that you have to have a ECG too.

Yeah, problem is BMI doesn’t consider anything. You could have a bodybuilder tagged as obese.

Don’t worry so much about your BMI as long you can move freely without any complications then you have nothing to worry about. Don’t forget that you have to have a ECG too.
