I heard recently that a line existed between Angel Road and Edmonton Green, I love finding out about old forgotten lines however I can't find much about this line on the internet.
I would love to know what route it took and what locomotives and rolling stock would have been used and how close to the shopping center and apartment complex it was.
Thanks in advance.

The line was opened in 1849 by the Eastern Counties Railway (later Great Eastern Railway) to link the Junction North of Edmonton Green (then Lower Edmonton High Level) to allow trains from Enfield Town and Southbury Loop to run to Stratford and Liverpool Street Via Tottenham Hale. The line was used for work men’s trains until 1931 when this declined and evening services remained until 1939 due to wartime economy measures but never reopened to passengers. The line lasted to Goods until 1964.

In 1905, there were 5 trains per day to Liverpool Street. The line had one station named Lower Edmonton Low Level. The High Level station was renamed Edmonton Green when the station closed in 1939.

Try lower-edmonton.co.uk under the transport and watercourses section and as previously mentioned disused stations.

I remember being surprised to see the line around 1965 when gricing LT bus garages.
It was of course the original branch to Enfield, well before the present route via Hackney Downs let alone the Southbury Loop.
