20463 on the evening 2a at the bus station at around 9PM. Then at the same time 17017 came in on the 3. On seeing this the inspector swapped the two vehicles so 20463 moved onto the 3 and 17017 onto the 2a.

Also 18375 was sat at the bus station for a while on the 2a waiting for 17021 to come in on the 2a. 18375 then replaced 17021 for some reason.

Also 16662, 16665 and one other Oly on University contracts. Later seen at the bus station waiting for the journey back later on tonight.

18143 is now more or less devoid of 125/6 branding now, i dont think it signifies any sort of 'leaving order' more a case of de-branding buses that are in the garage at the time.

Dallamlad - According to the list, there will be four arriving on the 23rd Oct and five on the 30th Oct..

And its become apparent that my ramblings, far from just amusing, bemusing and sometimes confusing the select few who actually post on here, seems to have gained a wider audience, maybe this will explain why people seem to be giving me random pieces of information when i least expect them...

Anyway, to protect myself from myself, stop myself getting used as a pawn for someone giving out harmful or damaging information, or fall into any defimation trap, I'm going to lay off all the rumours and small talk, and will stick to things i am sure about and am happy to believe i can announce in the public domain.

Hopefully you'll understand why as its beneficial for other posters too not to get caught up in anything unsavoury.

Indeed good shout Dave the Bus. I look forward to seeing the new branding on the E400's.

Noticed today that the 2/2a is still advertised as baylink on the small timetables placed in vehicles. I wonder if there are any plans to re-apply the branding for the 2/2a. There may be no real need but would be nice to see some more branding in the area :)

Yep - perfectly reasonable Dave (and possibly best for us as well!)

RBZ on its way into Lancaster on a Private Hire this evening.
16668 on 81B into Lancaster
Unrefurbed Oly on 755.

The only buses that carry baylink branding now are the 3 versa`s(25222/3/4) on the 6/6a`s.
But anything could happen knowing this company.
17022 was the last trident to carry the baylink branding but it has been recently removed only the lancashire rose remains above the entrance doors. :p

Yes I've noticed that the Tridents no longer carry the branding. I wonder if they will be up for repaint soon?

Almost certainly I would have thought, along with the MANs they haven't had a proper paint since 2003ish I'd guess.

Is there really only 4 Olys to go? There's no hanging around there! Do we know what will happen to the refurbed on still with the dotes (16666 I think)?

The tridents with rollers are to have L.E.D. blinds in but when that is going happen is another question?

If all three blinds(front, side and rear) are working they leave them in.
Its just the ones with blank blinds (side or rear) that are gettng panelled over and having L.E.D blinds put in.

i wonder if that rubbed down one was 16654, cos i saw that not in service in Carlisle last thursday, heading towards the depot area from Sands Centre area on Bridge Street.

new, correct number plates for 20435 are on their way, then it will be coming to Lillyhall.

as for 10728, it is due to have its smashed windscreen replaced and to be tidied up a bit before being collected to be taken to the dealer in the next few months. it apparently won't be seeing use again with Stagecoach, but we'll see. 10179 is running the Seatoller duties, and 16329 is there if its needed.

Had 22823 on the 2 from Morecambe just now. The driver put University 2 on the blinds but in fact it only went to the bus station and then headed back to Heysham on the 2. And honest mistake but rather inconvenient lol.

Traffic was horrific though town. It took 16659 on the X3 and 18364 on the 2a 15/20mins to get from the bus station to Common Garden. I managed to check my bank balance get a pie and eat it before either of them had reached the town hall lol.

Also KLCH GIG 4870 on the 580 Our Ladies School Service.

21004 is currently poorly and sitting at the Slyne Rd/Torrisholme Rd junction. The fitters van is in attendance with the battery booster plugged in. A traffic police officer is controlling traffic through the junction but its getting busy with cars merrily stacking up behind the bus.

Hi all,

This is my first post on here so please bear with me.

I see there is a lot of talk about the EBZ coach - I used to drive this coach regularly back in 1999 on Nat Ex/ Flight Link work from Preston (when plated M165SCK - fleet No. 1165). I agree it was a great machine along with its sister M164SCK - fleet No. 1164. Along with L125NAO - fleet No. 1125, R120VFR, S905JHG - fleet No. 112?, S906JHG - fleet No. 112?, we had quite a good fleet at Preston, but the best of all (in my eyes anyway) was J123AHH - fleet No. 1123. It had a sitck shift instead of the automatics used more and more, but I really liked it - there was nothing better than seeing this bus pull into Sandbach services on the southbpund 540 - I would then have it for 2 days - into London, out to Kidderminster in the evening, sleep out and back to London the following morning before heading back home. Does anyone know what happened to the old girl or have any opics. Would be very interested to see some.

Info Bus and 14208 spending the day at the Underpass. The same two drivers have been on ticket duty since Monday.

18362/63 following each other just now on the 2/2a. Timetables screwed because of the traffic in town I think.

21005 on X1.

10728 and 16667 in Paintshop areas at Carlisle today. 16667 was in the spraying part (unusual for the reg plate to still be on while its in there!).

in the Workshops were 42090, 20943, 20960, PX05 ELU (not sure on number), 52409, PX59 AZO (104 branded Enviro 300, think its 24124), 14268, 33076, and an UID Plaxton bodied Vario, with various bonnet parts and mechanical parts missing.

20435 (adding to yesterdays post by darrennw was it?, this has only been partially painted. its had the red and a bit of the blue on front touched up), 14203, and Osprey Bus at the back of the depot.

13297, 14205, 14207, 14268, 16337 and 16338 all on school work this morning. 14207 had 75 on the blinds.
20965 and 20979 on 75.
20907 on 66, but the rear display was refusing to change from 94.
33161, 34048, 42531 and 42577 were on layover at bus station.
42577 later went onto 69.
14254 on Brampton 685.
52405 and 52408 (non branded / refurbed) on 685.
14265 on 554 (this seems to be the main bus on it these days! it has had retrim, new flooring, and a new tray on top of cab door).
24122 (your connections to Carlisle) on 179.
with one of 104 branded enviro's in workshops, i'm guessing there was a B10M / Citi branded Dart on 104, but i didnt see what was on it, only saw 24123

16652, 16653 and 20765 on standard 300. 20765 was on in morning, didnt manage to see the other runs through the day to see if it stayed on. that run is usually Oly operated.
16651 was apparently on short 300 this morning.

Thanks for that driver9000, when i passed through this junction about 14.20 on my way in Lancaster for a meeting. There was a UID B10B facing the wrong way in the triangle bus lane!, So must of been 21004.

It was at ingleton last friday night and came back to the depot on saturday morning and went straight onto the steam ramp/garage before it`s M.O.T today and i didn`t fuel it.

But surely someone should have realised that the fuel gauge showed empty?
Or are they like Kendal's Olympians were, ie. the gauge changes from extremes depending on engine revs?!

Only buses that have fuel gauges are the alx300 MANS,optare versas and some of the optare solos(which always show empty):|
