Yes. Despite the NXEC site containing its usual disclaimer

at this moment the site does appear to be offering 20% off all NXEC Advance Standard and First Class fares.

Excellent! We always go to York a couple of weeks before Christmas - looks like First Class will be more affordable than it has been recently!

I like the offering of Y-Ps at 10% less. £23.40 is a fair bit better than £26!

Don't remind me. I just bought one at full price at EUS this week, although as a 'mature' (27!) student I can't buy them online anyway.

Just NXEC milking all they can before December....

Must take the pressure off knowing they don't have to try and make money any more :D

My sister will also be unamused, she had to buy a new Y-P on Saturday and would have welcomed the extra few quid, what with the student loans farce this year.

So how do I go about buying a new Y-P with NXEC then? Seems an odd place to go to!

Just collected some tickets this evening. In the same way that I've found the regular 10% discount that NXEC apply to their own Advance fares to sometimes come out at 11%, mine were discounted by 21% :D

21% + approx 33% railcard discount = one very happy camper. Glasgow to Peterborough and then an onward connection on the First X1 bus to west Norfolk for just £14.05.

Using raileasy, you save a hell of a lot more than this!

Can you give us some examples, please?

All my experience of raileasy is that they have offered the same price for Advance tickets as available elsewhere, without TOC-only web site discounts, but they have then tried to sting me for card fees and delivery fees. I have never encountered a journey for which raileasy offered the cheapest total cost.

I doubt it. RailEasy doesn't support non-rail services like the X1 bus (NXEC have sold me a ticket through to Swaffham). And it charges a frankly bizarre £1 booking fee and £1.50 for postage...

Why do people still use train booking websites that charge these extra fees???

I have found that raileasy offer some obscure routes that others don't - such as Carlisle to Middlesbrough via Manchester and Leeds.
I hate their website, though, and obviously the fees!

I just checked. With a family railcard, booked for december on the NXEC website, the fare is £72 for 1 adult and 1 child. On raileasy, last time I checked last month, the price was £24 for exactly the same time and date.

Does Raileasy still have this fare available?

Okay, I'll admit I didn't see those cheap single options on the NXEC website, but they're not normally there, so when I go to Harrogate with my Mum, we always use raileasy.
