Must admit the Sainsburys was handy . Theres a closer Greggs on Buchanan St . The kebab shop , ive never seen anyone on there and heard bad thing about it .

They mostly seem to be shoving in branches of Leon on stations and pretending that what they serve there is edible. It remains to be seen whether they will attempt that in Glasgow. Where are the other BKs in Glasgow btw? Only having the terrible one in the station in Edinburgh has left me really craving one

Four in the city centre proper: one each in St. Enoch Centre, Buchanan Galleries & Central Station & one on Renfield/Sauchiehall St (plus a 5th on the southern bank of the Clyde just west of the Kingston Bridge on Paisley Rd as part of the Springfield Quay complex). As handy as the B.K. at Queen St station was (I personally prefer McDonalds' myself lol), it wasn't that great a loss in the long run.

No , there were going to open one at Buchanan galleries but they pulled out .
As for Burger King , tend to avoid the station ones , just never as good.

Well, there’s a few blocks of polystyrene foam where they dug out the extensions to platforms 2 - 5 two years ago but I don’t think there’s all that much else. Could be wrong of course.

An announcement from Network Rail yesterday about the change of access from Saturday (21st July).

Passengers advised of changed access into Queen Street station

From Saturday 21 July, the way passengers enter and exit Glasgow Queen Street station will change as the project team finishes the last of the demolition work on Consort House.

Direct access to Low Level services from Dundas Street will close and be replaced with a temporary walkway via Platform 2 on the main High Level concourse. The main entrance will remain open and will move further down Dundas Street.

The new passenger access will be in place throughout the rest of the redevelopment and will enable the project team to complete the remaining demolition work before construction begins to build a bigger and brighter station.

Jenna Clark, Project Manager for Queen Street redevelopment said “This is an important point of the project as we prepare to complete demolition work and put in place safe access to the station that will be there as we build the new station.

“We are working closely with ScotRail’s station team to minimise the impact that our activities have on station users and staff will be available to provide support and direction”.

The passenger assistance desk will remain situated on the centre of the concourse and lift access to the Low Level platforms will remain operational from Platform 7.

Well, despite that announcement from Network Rail, today (Saturday 21st) the new entrance is neither open or finished as will shortly be revealed in the next video update. However, other things are afoot...

Not sure they would be ecstatic about me drawing attention to some of their problems and missed dates. Anyway, this is big budget stuff - a cool £1.50 for the concession fare in to Queen Street (the hire of the model 38A camera crane came free with my Saltire concession card).

interesting request, seeing as how railway photography is frowned upon, actively discouraged even, by some staff at Blackpool. Nigel Harris @Rail was having another rant about it yesterday on twitter.

The loading from the track is spread; a mast foundation which finds soft sand or clay is a much more serious problem.
But let's return to QS.
