Am I correct in thinking they were only at present interviewing for the Kent positions hence people only been offered the Tilbury depot.If I’m wrong I’m sure I get corrected lol

No mate lol obvious bit of advice I will offer lol keep your nose clean be disciplined say no to mates in the pub lol as you say it’s not sunk in yet but all the hard work starts now for you but you have been offered a excellent opportunity becoming a freight train driver it will scare you driving to start with lol but soon get use to them lol but just enjoy your self that’s the main thing it makes learning enjoyable

I didn't manage to get in the 2018 course however I've been told im being put on the 2019 course which has worked out fantastic for me! Got my medical tomorrow well done guys

Well done mate, I spoke to them yesterday and was also told I’m successful for the 2019 course. I just hope my medical isn’t as soon as yours, as I’m currently on holiday . Are you ipswich or tilbury?

If you Google "train driver assessments" theres loads of info on the different tests you'll more than likely be doing.

Hi Tim, it's for a Heavy Haul shunt driver at Crewe - I only had the initial email today asking for DOB & NI number so very early doors but just trying to get a head start and best preparation

Ah okay.. Iv recently passed my tests and currently in a talent pool awaiting a coarse date with intermodal.

Have they sent you an information pack via email yet? All the test you should do, will be in the pack. They’re not difficult to be honest, just the element of pressure makes it difficult as you only have two attempts. I must admit I didn’t do hardly any revision and did no practice, just had a look though to see what iv got to do. Attended the assessments well rested, and passed 1st time. I know it’s difficult, but try to remain calm, make sure you fully understand, don’t rush. And you’ll be fine. Best of luck

I just used the practice material they send out, fairly similar to the actual tests, a printed a few of the dots test to have a crack at. Good luck with it
