The metrocar in question is 4022. It has been at Bristol Barton Hill depot for the last 11 months, following accident damage caused by a derailment in Gosforth depot. 4022 is unlikely to return to the North East, and is likely to be scrapped

Last I heard there was the legal work being done between DB & Nexus - shame as 4022 was one of the trains that was actually refurbished.

74 out of the 89 operational units are in service each weekday if I remember correctly.

74 out of the 89 operational units are in service each weekday if I remember correctly.

Correct, 74 at peak & around 16 of these are only peak services (would need to double check this), until last year it was 78. This has only been met 3% of the time in recent times due to a delayed component refurbishment by an external company and general issues with the stock. I believe ~6 units are in for work at the same time so 83 trains ‘available’ for service.
