Hi all,

I'm feeling a bit bored as I've got no plans this weekend so I am looking at our routing guide supremos to give me a fun journey which includes a whole load of mileage for less than £15 (without a railcard and able to buy on the day), starting/finishing somewhere near the TfWM boundary (preferably on the snow hill lines!)

Only catch is it must be routing guide legal, doable in a day (getting there and back), not involve 150/153/Pacers or anything without a non DDA compliant lavatory on board.

I know at one stage Hatton to Droitwich was valid in a huge loop via Reading, Southampton, Bristol but is no longer valid but is there any other hidden gems.

If you would rather PM them then no problem).
Many thanks in advance

I think the West Midlands Day Ranger is probably your best bet. It's ridiculously cheap for the validity - just £17.50 with a Railcard or £26.50 without. Gets you all the way from Crewe down to Northampton, Nuneaton down to Hereford, after 09:30 on a weekday or anytime on weekends/bank holidays. Alternatively you could combine the West Midlands Daytripper with some other add-on tickets.

Sure, there are tickets which enable you to go on a massive loop but using them will probably require using non DDA compliant trains and/or it won't be possible there and back in a day with one ticket.
