Kings Cross-Waterloo- flatest connection?

There's many routes between Kings Cross and Waterloo. Which one has the least stairs/escalators at the connection point (discarding the loony route of circle+jubilee)? I know it isn't Green park, having made that mistake once, but I've forgotten where the best connection point is...

I'd say Victoria to Oxford Circus, then cross over to the Bakerloo.

well if you want the flattest route there is a bus (59) that goes to waterloo from kings cross (stop R) it is every 12 minutes and takes 35 mins to get to waterloo, but because it is a bus it will probably take a week but all busses in london are low floor so you won't have to worry about stairs/escalators, but for the quickest route you want the victoria line, then the bakerloo which unfortunately has some stairs/escalators/lifts to contend with but only lasts up to 15 mins

(other than by bus), it is indeed the Victoria to Oxford Circus then the Bakerloo to Waterloo

No, the 59 bus runs every 10 minutes and takes 25 mins - 30 mins to get to Kings Cross

yeah, exactly, I don't call that frequent between two such big stations! Its also VERY unreliable.

On weekdays, King's Cross mainline > Finsbury Park > Highbury & Islington > Oxford Circus > Victoria. The only stairs will be at Victoria itself. That is, if you don't mind the double-backing to Finsbury Park!

If you don't mind negotiating King's Cross tube station then the quickest journey is to change at Oxford Circus. Stairs at KGX and VIC can't really be sensibly avoided.

You'll need to use the stairs to go from platform 4, 5 or 6 over to 1 to get back to Highbury & Islington and on to the Victoria Line - although not as many as walking down to the tube there.

The bus option is never a good choice, as the traffic always messes things up. It's only an option if you really don't want any fuss with steps/walking, and time isn't a major factor. Then I guess it's perfect!

Rather than get a bus, could you get a taxi if it isn't too far away?
