Whilst waiting two hours at a station such as Stowmarket would be more realistic as the station doesn't see frequent services.
Having no need of our specifically dictated 2 hours here, we board the 23:51 Greater Anglia service 2W37 to Needham Market, arriving at 23:55 Thursday night.

We appear to be stuck. Buses (as far as I can work out), run to Little Downham but not from Little Downham on a Friday at this time. Is there a way out without waiting till Saturday?

Apologies did I take us to a bit of a public transport dead end? I was entirely enticed to that journey by going to California.
I feel sorry for the local residents, these buses keep coming in all day but only return in the morning, imagine all the disgrunled, stuck passengers! (ok, probably not that many, but still)

From Ely, we board the 09:22 Stagecoach East service 9 to Cambridge, opp Science Park, arriving at 10:03 Saturday morning.

We then board the 2010 Tower Transit service 25 to Oxford Circus (Great Titchfield Street), arriving there at 2121 on Saturday evening.

Just for those of you who may not know, the 25 was London's busiest bus route last year, it has a PVR of 64 buses and in the peaks the end to end journey time from Ilford to Oxford Circus can take over two hours!

HALT CALLED

Trumpington
was arrived at 1845 on Saturday evening.

The next journey is shown as arriving at Stratford in London some six days later at 2000 on Friday evening.

The journey after that is shown as arriving at Oxford Circus in London at 2121 on Friday evening.

I wouldn't worry too much Paul; National Express run daily unless otherwise stated and I can't imagine the timings on the 25 are much different on a Saturday than in the week.

These two postings do need to be amended, however, to show the correct day, and I will change mine now.
