Spotted 20129 in maryport this morning, with fitters in attendance!! broken down on Curzon street, pointing in a workington direction... wasn't there when i passed again, ten mins later.

Also, a MAN enviro 300 passed me earlier, i did not get the number, but it was making a hell of a din... the engine sounded like it was "tapping" very loud!!
it sounded like someone was tapping on the bodypanels with the back of a teaspoon!!!

i'd guess that enviro will have been 22610 and 22611. both of them suffer badly from vibration, which is very annoying!!!
34079 and 20129 have both had a go on Northside 48.
47617 been on SL Ltd.
47023 and 47024 on Moorclose.
33167 and an unidentified 04 reg solo on Harrington & Seaton.
16734, 20761 and a refurbed R reg oly on 300.

On my way home passed 47058 on 555 Lancaster service, so will be on 2020 555 Kendal.

20305, 33166, 33170, 47056 & 47058 all made appearances on Kendal Town services this afternoon. Not seen any X35's or the 755 today.

555/6 moving to winter timetable there; the X55 will be withdrawn.


I've no idea what's going on with Barrow's X35/618...perhaps they've lost the contracts? In which case might some more 709Ds be going as Solos become free?

As its a Cumbria County Council subsidized service, my guess would be that Stagecoach has lost the contact. So may also loose the three X35 branded tridents, as these are owned by Cumbria County Council.

the 3 X35 branded tridents move with the X35 contract, so the new contract "holder" will operate and maintain them.
as for 618, the new operator should have been chosen with low floor in mind, unless the council have purchased (or are funding) a new bus to keep the service low floor.

40648 being a Barrow vehicle?

If so, unlikely to be replaced as Solos will be going spare from the loss of 618.

one of the 709D's recently withdrawn from LL will have went down. 40651 has already went to replace 40006 of which has a seized up gearbox. of the ones just sitting around, i'd say that 40025 is the better one (40033 had dodgey clutch / gearbox, 40445 seemed to be a bit dodgey on the old gears)

22809 (V809 DFV) was taken off stand 19 at the bus station at just after 2000 on Sunday night, I'd just set the alarm, down the shed when the phone went, thought I'm not messing around now, the boss soon got me on my mobile though, It turns out to be the same chap that stole the two double decks out of Barrow of late, just been let out after the last one, bit of luck the constabulary will do something about this nut before he kills somebody.

That would probably be the one that I think I saw this morning in Travellers (Last) Choice Yard.

20540 (I think) on morning 555. 18355 sounding like it's not far from a new heating pump.

Info bus heading toward Lancaster this afternoon and 14204 heading back to the depot.

I saw 24122 earlier in Whitehaven on the 600 that runs through to the West Cumberland Hospital. It had some branding on it for "Connections to Carlisle" Or something similar.

2nd day, and they're off their planned routes already hahahaha. USELESS!!!
that'll have been a B10M on the 104 then, which as of yesterday, is an advertised low floor route!
the enviro's on 79 and 179 are route branded. the other 2, as i found out today, aren't route branded, but carry some sort of branding for Carlisle Connections, of which are meant for the 104.
