Here, we board the 06:12 VTEC service 1S04 to Durham, arriving at 09:24 Saturday morning.

That misses the minimum connection time, so let’s try this instead:

Here, we board the 07:00 VTEC service 1S05 to Berwick-upon-Tweed, arriving at 10:40 Saturday morning.

Blame Paul. I mean I took us to Berwick, which is nearly there, but Paul took us over the border ;). Anyway, more interesting than London!

Here, we board the 07:10 Cross Country service 1V52 to Totnes, arriving at 15:11 Monday afternoon (see, this isn't Scotland!!).

*That's 8 hours on a Voyager <(<(*

First train in from Tweedbank on a Sunday gets in a 09:40. Maybe a bus is better, they tend to be fairly reliable in Edinburgh.

Edit: On to it :)
