LM tickets this sunday 06/09/09

As London Midland are not operating this sunday,are advance LM tickets valid on Virgin? I'm travelling from wigan to crewe VT then crewe to rugby LM,any advice would be helpful please,cheers

Their website just says:-

Wherever possible, London Midland will provide alternative arrangements for passengers to continue their journeys. Please check online at www.londonmidland.com or by calling National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50 for the alternatives for your journey.

I can't find any 'arrangements' on there yet.
I can't see what else they can do, it would be a lot of replacement buses otherwise.

The following quote implies some sort of arrangements are being organised by LM:

Director of Operations Andy Thomas said: “We apologise for the disruption to our services this Sunday and we are doing everything we can to provide alternative arrangements for passengers.

virgin has one service i think that picks up at northampton each day, but theres no vt services being diverted there.

What about the SAA-WFJ branch? There's no other option apart from SAC-STP, then tube to Euston and Virgin Trains from there, but I doubt a £3.90 return would be accepted on that route?!?
