More than likely after the May timetable change. When that'll be is anyone's guess.
Thanks

Not massively surprising as they switched designer(s) and no longer use purple at all. Surely it was a bit of an expense to have paid for a livery design and only used it once though!
When we likely to see more new livefy
Probably on the cascaded 172/0s and perhaps the 319s. WMT is tight enough for units (both diesel and electric) for any of the existing fleet going off to be painted in silly colours. We had a fortnight of shortforming on the Snow Hill lines before 172339 appeared.
Maybe they will go for the original design though they could use the orange on the front like LO 710s except lighter?
White...just what we need more of.I think they should go with the design that was shown on the press release of the new trains.

Which is strange because this looks like yellow to me:Purple appears on the station signage at Wolverhampton, which has only recently been rebranded.

Wonder if they won't stick to that colour scheme then.

That said, I'd be amazed if they drop purple entirely, seeing as purple is a colour heavily associated with the west midlands -
Some of the stations in the West Midlands got gold signage (Bromsgrove, Northampton etc.) due to being the home stations of some of Team GB's gold medal winners at the 2016 Olympics. So far, B'ham Snow Hill & Wolverhampton are the only WMR-operated stations in the new colours, and IIRC, Snow Hill has a bit more purple than Wolves. As a West Midlander I don't understand this sentence. In railway terms this has been relevant only for the past few months with the change of franchisee. The only other instance of railway use that I can think of is Bornville Station being painted in Cadbury Blue in honour of the adjacent factory.
Reference has also been made to Wolverhampton. I have not been there for a little while so I have not seen the changes but this station has recently been tranferred from Virgin management to West Midlands Trains so there will be some change in the signage but I would have expected the signage to be in gold as other WMR stations.
On a side note, looks like the new TfWM branding is this:

Orange and grey is always a good colour combination.Nothing special really, the logo's nice enough but the color scheme isn't that great IMO.

I highly doubt it'd be the WMR 172. Did you just see the side of it or did you see the front too?Back in January I posted on this thread that I had seen a train through a gap in the platform buildings at MKC with the new WMR livery. Many people told me I was wrong. Last Saturday I saw for the first time the train painted in LNW livery and I am convinced more than ever that it was the WMR livery I saw, especially as a few weeks ago I saw the WMR liveried train on the Stourbridge line.

Could it have been one of the WMR Sprinters? They all still carry LM livery, but with WMR branding.Highly unlikely you saw 172339 at Milton Keynes, there's no reason for it to be in that neck of the woods.
Could it've been a 319 in the white livery with a WMR sticker applied or are those under LNR?![]()
I was on a Virgin train and I saw the side of the other through a gap in the platform buildings. It was definitely the logo shown on the left above and it had a light background not like the stickers currently affixed to the black panel on the old LM livery. I agree that I cannot think of any reason for it to be there and a check on RTT for that day showed that any train that I could have seen there would have been an electric train which we know none of them carry the WMR livery.
