I can feel a trip coming on. I didn't travel on the 365's very often when I lived in the south so I must make the effort to get a few in Scotland.

Quite ironic but i seen a 365 on a Cambridge service at KX last month , thought lets go on it as they are getting withdrawn and now they up in here in Glasgow !

Certainly isn't forgotten locally. I know a good number of people who are already planning their travel arrangements round the remaining 365 services as far as possible. The evening Baldock and Peterborough services thankfully are a godsend to those who don't wish to subject to themselves to the torture and torment of the 700s, one such service fortunately happens to suit me rather well.

One possible danger for ScotRail is that people like the 365s too much, e.g. because you can see out of the window.

And indeed, the path is again cancelled today. I don’t think they’re anything to do with the 365s, they’ve been scheduled to run for weeks, I assume they are cancelled 385 training paths.

Driverttraining starts Tuesday but first 2 days are classroom/static so might not move till end of week although trainer training may result in some random runs.

So would I but ours proposed services are the worse of both worlds. 700s and much slower into Kings Cross until at least 2020 (if they ever manage to work out how to reliably get the services calling at WGC through the core.).

Be interesting what the reaction to the 365s will be in Scotland. Very pleasant trains but the interior isn’t as nice as the turbos they replace. Will passengers be happy to have hopper vents back? (Some prefer them). We will see in time. Odd if they don’t re-introduce first. The accommodation is good in first to be honest so you have a premium product feel. Better than if a 158 is covering.

Well they seemed okay with the large airier but rather sterile interiors of the 380's from what i seen, so the 365's should be happy enough here

i kind of hope they keep the windows openable, have been on the odd 170 where they had the heater on.... on a day when they should have had the cooler on, and with the summer coming up, godamn do the 170's get ultra stuffy

They do shut themselves in tunnels when passing another train. Fun at Winchburgh for you. I doubt they are going fast enough in the other tunnels for that to be a problem. Must admit I prefer to be able to open a window. But the 365s used to be very hot if they were sat in the sun for a while. Good when moving.

Yes, they’ve been input as auto-call schedules in TRUST so they’ll call (show as ‘active’ on Real Time Trains) 120 minutes before departure. Cancellation is done manually as and when someone notices an overdue report and/or has the time to do it.

First class on the E-G will not be reintroduced until it is a full 385 service. This was decided when they intorduced the 380s onto the route as they have no first class areas.

This is to keep a consistent approach on the route given that now there will be at least 3 different classes of traction operating on the E-G services until the 385s eventually arrive.

It always collects grime up there! Washing plants do not seem to shift it. Anything else requires OHL to be isolated to clean that area.

To be honest I was always surprised that they painted that area white considering that insects decorate it so well. A bit like painting a HST top of cab yellow.
