Hi
I currently commute from Bedford to St Pancras (inc zone 1-6 travelcard) and have an annual season ticket (purchased in late Dec 2017).
From 20th May i want to swap and commute from Milton Keynes to Euston. The difference in annual ticket is approx £450 per year extra for the new route.
Will I just have to pay the pro-rata difference to cover May to Dec to get the new ticket (so approx £300?)
Can I get this changeover done at either Bedford or CMK? And is it instant or do I need to apply and wait for a new ticket by post?
Thanks in advance!!

Yes, changeovers are calculated pro-rata, whether you have to pay extra or are due a refund. You should be able to get a changeover done at any station in theory (as no restriction is given in the NRCoT), but you would be least likely to encounter 'resistance' at the ticket office or retailer you got your season ticket from. The changeover cannot be done for the same day but should be doable with effect from the next day. If they cannot calculate the additional amount to be paid there and then, you may be asked to come back (keeping your ticket in the mean time) at later date once they've calculated it. The calculations are quite complex due to the assumption of arbitrary numbers of days in months and so on.

For information you can get a season ticket from Bedford-London Zones 1-6 routed AAA Milton Keynes for £6,288.

A 'normal' Bedford - London Zones 1-6 season ticket is valid to travel via Bletchley, but not Milton Keynes.
