Using the return portion, would travel on the 1624 on Saturday from Euston to Birmingham be valid, then another West Midlands Trains LNWR from there to Stafford, then another Stafford to Stoke? Seems the nearest direct euston to stoke before 1630 is the 1446?

Yes and yes - that's valid. If you can find a Trent valley stopping VTWC train that will be quicker and not all that much more expensive if you split the tickets. Advances (split or regular) would also be cheap on either VTWC or WMT if you get them sufficiently in advance.

There is an hourly service at xx46 on that service, you should be able to catch the 1546 but the 1646 is not allowed as a super offpeak is not valid between 1629 & 1931 except on the 1846 on a Saturday.

The 1624 is a Milton Keynes Central stopper train, you would require the 1613 if you wanted Birmingham New Street.

Thanks all for the replies, so to confirm it is valid on 1846 Euston to stoke definately? Brfares doesnt seem to say it is?

brfares.com states:
RETURN TRAVEL ...

Not valid for travel on services timed to depart the origin station on the ticket after 16:29 and before 19:31 in either direction except on: 18:46 (Saturday service) from Euston to stations between Nuneaton and Crewe.

http://www.brfares.com/#faredetail?orig=SOT&dest=EUS&rte=42&tkt=OPR
Using the return portion of the Stoke to Euston return ticket, the origin station on the ticket is London Euston. This ticket is therefore not valid for travel on services timed to depart London Euston after 16:29 and before 19:31, with the exception of the 18:46 Saturday service from Euston to stations between Nuneaton and Crewe.

Between Nuneaton and Crewe, the 18:46 Saturday service calls at Atherstone, Tamworth, Lichfield TV, Rugeley TV, Stafford, Stone, Stoke-on-Trent, Kidsgrove, Alsager and Crewe. The ticket is therefore valid for travel from London Euston to Stoke-on-Trent on the 18:46 Saturday service.
