Spotted today at lancaster bus station on the 556 13:20 to keswick was volvo b10m 20457. I thought the 555`s where low-floor deckers?? :roll:

The reason for 20457 working into Lancaster, was due to traffic in Windermere & Bowness area being extremely heavy today. Due to the Windermere Air Show.

The 555 service has seen buses running upto an hour late!

Stagecoachgem as reported seeing three 599 Open-tops at bowness pier at once!!! This is 20-minute service, so one of them must of been a least 40-minute late!

Couple this with the fact that the Kendal - Keswick part of the route doubles to 30min frequency this time of year....

This year the H-reg'd Olympains are seeing use on the Kendal - Keswick summer service. Last year it was B10M's, which are now being used on the 505 coniston service, due to capacity problems! The two LWB bike rack fitted darts 33170 & 33173 are seeing regular use on 552's & 567's.

Its acutely from Arriva car hire company dunno where they based at but arriva have a few things like that they have a bus & coach hire company too

40028 later left in the direction of Maryport with Sorry, Not In Service on the LED.
20753 went up towards bus station from Maryport direction, with Sorry Not In Service on its display.
one of H reg oly's left annexe in direction of Lillyhall. didnt see which one it was cos i was in town.

Business as usual in Lancaster with a few exceptions:

21003 on the 3/4
16663 on the 2.
17023 on a Carnforth route probably the 50. The blind only showed Carnforth and not its route number at the bus station.
17022 parked at the stand where the 80 leaves from.
20463 at the bus station out of service.
A few Olys on the 40/41.
21004 on the X1.

bit of Stagecoach Manchester stuff if anyone is interested.

ex Preston 47470, 47471, 47472, 47473 and 47476 that went to Manchester, will be off to Grimsby in September / October.
Darts 33081, 33082, 33083, 33084, 33085, 33086, 33087, 33091, 33092 and 33093 are to be replaced with Enviro 200's later this year. being low floor darts, its not sure what will be happening to them.
some of the W reg Tridents from Hyde Rd have been swapped with V reg Tridents from Princess Rd. there will be some odd reason for this transfer, i'd guess its something to do with the seats (W reg ones have the new style ones like ME's MANs, whereas the V reg ones have the old bench style seats).

I believe the swap is also to do with the emissions.

I suspect the Darts will be moved off elsewhere - although they have consecutive fleet numbers, they're a mixed lot coming through takeovers.

Well is would seem Manc is the hub of activity at the moment! I take it we still don't know where the 10 E400's are going?

If/when Lancaster get a park and ride system will SC just use normal vehicles or do you think they will purchase brand new ones?

Those darts that are due to be moved on from Manc are butt ugly lol.

The park and ride should become a reality soon, the Lancaster Guardian had a piece from the council saying building on the road should begin next year (for now) a contractor will be appointed soon. Slightly unusual today was 20547 on a Preston bound 41 in Scotforth around 13:45

33164, 47055/6/8 on Kendal Town services today.
16335 on what must have been an X35, blank display so not sure.

Thats mean all four servicable Solos have been on Town services today, as47057 replaced 47058, which then ended up on 552's.
Other buses which were on Town services this afternoon were 20750, and 33170 appeared just before close of service.

20705 brokedown whilst working the 1615 567 Kirkby Lonsdale service, being replaced by 20132.

The only X35's i've seen had 16331, & 16335 on them.

14252 was parked on the Lancaster stand at about 15.50, does anybody know if it worked to Lancaster or if it was on lay-over ?

Was in Keswick this aft, bus station was a little busy with 42531,42545, 16336, 16355 and 14256 on the 555. Moved on to Carlisle and spotted 20909,20984 and a ME Oly with fresh panneling on the rear but no id sorry. also 20907 in fresh paint and 20130 in the bush wash (another visitor).

So the Park & Ride scheme, is going ahead then ?, or is it like the Heysham to Galgate link road, which they been talking about for the last 40+ years!!!!

Oh good another of our Olys up in Carlisle! I wonder how many they intend to do?

The P&R is meant to happen at some point but I think its when the new bypass id finished which will be 4 to 6 years lol. I think the idea was to have a big car park near ASDA and then ferry people back and forth. Would make sense to have one near the Lancaster Motorway Junction NOW! Although their may not be space with the gym and all lol.

From the map shown in the paper it will go from the end of the current by-pass at the college past Beaumont and Halton to J34 where the park and ride site will be. J34 will be remodelled to make it a bit kinder to brakes . Its reputed to be the only motorway junction like this in the UK as it wasnt part of the original plans and was added afterwards.

18356 in Market Street, Carnforth about 14.05 displaying 555 Kendal, presumably it's the late running 13.20 from Lancaster, which is/was due in Carnforth at 13.40.

14204 on the 41 as well as 17020.

16663 on the 40.

16660 on the 2 and later on the 2a around 7ish.

17021 out of service at the bus station this afternoon and later ON THE 4!!! It must have only been doing one run as we all know it can't run the 3.

16668 on the 5 this evening and yes looks very smart with it new LED

30281 pottering around on city routes as well.
