It’s probably been discussed here before but I can’t find anything so I apologise.
If I was to buy an advance fare from X-Z, but get on at an indermidate stop (y) and travel to Z is this allowed?
E.g get a Leeds to London advance ticket and board at Wakefield. (This is not the journey I’m taking, I don’t want to mention what journey I’m taking)
It would save me about a third of the fare if I did this due to the madness that is advance fares, but is it legal? I’m not traveling short, but I am starting short kind of.
