There are still quite a few "VT" train stop indicators at stations on the cross country route... Tamworth (high-level) for example.

Although originally intended as "Virgin Trains" stop markers, I think they are (effectively) used as "Voyager Train" stop markers and are, technically, not obsolete for XC routes.

They used to be present at certain stations along the Brighton line but I'm fairly certain they're either all or mostly gone by now.

Wasn’t that the service pattern introduced after completion of the Solent electrification, but I can’t remember when it changed again
It was indeed, but I think that service lasted only for 2 or 3 years, before it was split in to a Portsmouth to Southampton stopper and a Southampton to Wareham stopper. The new sign was ordered by South West Trains, long after the service had changed!

Lots of NSE signage around as people have pointed out, some of the most interesting i've seen being a NSE trolley at Banbury and a NSE branded permit to travel machine at Lapworth.

One of my favourites - Regional Railways signage on the wall at Manchester Victoria, just opposite Soldiers' Gate

Surely the Y&L map at Manchester Victoria is worthy of a mention too?

On the old green WY Metro logos, there is one in Sowerby Bridge on a sign above a walking route to the station on the main street and I think this one in Slaithwaite is still there.

There used to be an old 80s sticker on the booking office door at Hebden Bridge advertising Day Rovers, with the old Metro logo and drawings of a Leyland National and a Class 101. Sadly it was removed a couple of years ago but it fitted in well with the retro look of the station.

I saw a "W&S loco" stopping sign at Tame Bridge Parkway the other day.

There's a road bridge over the railway in southern Edinburgh which has a load of Scotrail poster display boards, which are still maintained and updated. It's next to where Morningside station used to be, but the station closed in 1962.

Till very recently at preston park the other operators board had the first capital connect logo included

Cricklewood has mostly newer style signage presumably done under FCC (way out directions on all boards) however two way out boards on platform 2 are clearly network south east. Cricklewood depot sign is still first capital connect branded. At Hendon one platform sign is network south east style (faded blue) while at Luton (a station in need of an upgrade) there are some random nse style platform numbers with north or south directions on them. Radlett has the FCC style signage bar one nameplate which was obviously forgotton about. Harlington had almost unreadble signs till they were recently replaced. I am pretty sure Leagrave has the original nse nameboards painted over grey along the bottom.

Hiked past Dormans (Surrey) station yesterday & noticed that the station 'London Connections' poster has the Overground terminating at Whitechapel!

If we're talking obsolete maps: I recall reading a travel blog (or possibly a magazine feature, I don't quite recall) about railways in Tehran. This featured 141s which not only still wore Metro "Raspberry Ripple" colours and branding, but still had maps of the West Yorkshire rail network on the bulkhead glass panels!

I was about to comment on it being out of area too... but then realised I was thinking of Cheddleton on the Churnet Valley Railway!

Perhaps not obsolete in the strictest sense, but this sign at Sanderstead is blatantly wrong. Crossing the footbridge will not enable you to catch a train to Purley. This has never been possible, and never will be.

Perhaps not obsolete, but at Northern station I use there is a car park notice regarding fines and the like, but I would love to know how valid it actually is because all the company names have still got tape covering them! (Presumably because they refer to Northern Rail).

They've only had 2 years to sort it out of course!

Could that be a remnant of the period the LU ELL was curtailed after closure of the old Shoreditch? Still well out of date, whatever...

Interestingly, Downham Market has gained a full set of Network South East signage throughout the station, replacing the previous WAGN signage that had been overlain with FCC stickers.
This link is a station name board https://flic.kr/p/WfGjyD and even the signs that post date NSE such as this one for a smart card reader have been NSEified https://flic.kr/p/WoBvqf
They have made a nice job of it complete with red lamposts etc. NSE must now be a 'heritage livery' to be dutifully recreated!

It was funded by the Railway Heritage Trust. There’s a thread here: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/nse-back-at-downham.144262/ and a news article here: http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/red-white-and-blue-makeover-for-downham-market-railway-station-1-4995695

Only kind of a station, but the platform at Harry Potter World in London still has South West Trains posters up one end. Not sure who's paying for their display...

Similar in the US attraction with a full recreation of First Capital Connect and East Coast complete with announcements and PIS displays.

York seems to be quite a magnet for these, and I don't just mean the NER tiled map and other steam age paraphernalia.

The "Welcome to York Station" sign as you approach from the taxi rank is in GNER colours and font, while near the bike racks there was a cyclist's guide to York in DOR East Coast colours. I guess that the place has so many odd corners that as long as something doesn't refer directly to a previous operator, it's not worth the expense of replacing.

Speaking of York there was a sign stating Network Rail / GNER up at platform 4, sadly the GNER part has been covered over with black electric tape.

I was going to mention the Intercity Swallow logo that can be be seen on one of the signs at Bham International but I was beaten to it. I can think of two examples that I've seen recently that aren't signs as such but are still "outdated"- the artwork at Wolverhampton station (features intercity liveried trains and a newspaper with a headline about BR entering Europe) and the artwork at Nuneaton on platform 1 has a Central Trains logo on it.

As for obsolete signage away from stations, I can also think of two overbridges in Birmingham that no longer have railways underneath them but still have BRB bridge numbers showing.

They must be tons of signs around the country at stations and on bridges that still reference railtrack.

Whilst having a mooch on google earth recently, I was surprised to find a rather pointless railtrack sign in Hereford.

Somehow I don't think any trains would be at risk in the event of that bridge being hit by a vehicle...

Nearly 20 years since the rail network's parcel service ceased, the news has yet to reach Littlehampton. 20180205_154606_HDR~2.jpg

The sign for (what I think is) the staff car park at Glasgow Central is certainly rustic. It looks like it dates from the BR days and it has the old National Express "swoop" stuck at the bottom.
