Bet the young lady's happy about her face being twitted around the world....
Yes as yorkie has correctly pointed out, Virgin are actually a little bit cheaper for this journey on a walk up fare. I stand corrected.
It is a surprising coincidence to me actually but there we are.
NOTE: Virgin offer a cheaper fare to Milton Keynes from Euston. This means Jeremy in fact paid more than he could have, unless he had an advance ticket.
JEREMY CORBYN is being chauffeur-driven to work in a gas-guzzling seven-seater diesel people carrier – despite his Labour local council last week calling for diesel cars to be banned.
The Ford Galaxy waited on a double yellow line outside his north London home for 40 minutes on Tuesday before making the six-mile journey to Westminster.
Mr Corbyn lives in Islington and is also the Labour MP for Islington North.
Last week Islington Borough Council, along with neighbouring Hackney, proposed a ban on diesel cars with drivers flouting the air pollution crackdown facing £130 fines.
Despite styling himself as an eco warrior, complaining that air pollution is “killing children”, the DVLA database reveals Mr Corbyn’s mode of transport emits a hefty 189g of carbon dioxide, putting it in the fourth highest vehicle tax band.
The 2.2 litre engine can only manage 36mpg on average, the same as a 17-seat Ford Transit minibus.
The shiny five-door silver car arrived at the Left-wing Labour leader’s three-bedroom terrace home just before 9am on January 30 but the populist politician left the driver waiting for 40 minutes on double yellow lines.
A traffic warden in a high-visibility vest approached but immediately appeared to recognise the car and did not issue a ticket...

Last time I checked, 365s were not armour-plated.Yes, she does it all by herself, bless her, and definitely doesn’t have expensive and necessary armed close protection.
Funny you should mention the Pope, with all this talk of how a Prime Minister would need lots of security regardless of who they were...

(For those unable to view the link, it's an image of the Pontiff getting into his car: a common-or-garden Ford Focus!)
Fair point, but that goes to show that in fact an everyday family hatchback offers more protection than a Popemobile. Here's one of a previous Pontiff in his car, just after he had been shot...

#EverydaySexismNot sure she's actually that young. I know ladies who are 40+ who look younger than she appears in that photo.
I'm on the verge of sixtcoughcoughsplutter. Believe me, anyone around 40 is positively youthful...Not sure she's actually that young. I know ladies who are 40+ who look younger than she appears in that photo.
There are other European countries where the PM, even members of their royal family, if they have one, feel, and are, perfectly safe in public without bodyguards. We are just such a hatefilled nation.

It’s simply plain wrong for people to suggest Corbyn wouldn’t have security arrangements if he ever became prime minister.
That poster used the phrase 'all-around security in armoured limousines is not a thing of privilege, it is a thing of necessity.'.What relevance does that have?
A poster said that “going around without security isn’t really an option”.
If that is meant to suggest that I am some kind of blinkered Corbynite, it couldn't be more wrong. It’s worrying how people on this thread have such a lack of objectivity.

In other news, Pope revealed to be a Roman Catholic.
A Web search for 'Theresa May train' doesn't appear to bring up anything relevant. The PM has also used public trains.

One person's assertion.I mean the office of Prime Minister, not the one who’s only been in office. We are talking about the office, seeing as the assertion is Corbyn would not have security if he held that office.
One person's assertion.
And what about the assertion that the Prime Minister to travel in armoured limousines is 'a necessity'?
Not all popes are Roman Catholics when elected. They will invariably be Latin Rite, but, for example, Paul VI was an Ambrosian, not Roman, Rite Catholic as he was Archbishop of Milan at the time. Milan is not part of the Roman rite, but is Catholic.
One person's assertion.
And what about the assertion that the Prime Minister to travel in armoured limousines is 'a necessity'? You argue that that wasn't an assertion. Why not?
Why is my statement about the Queen challenged to the nth linguistic degree, but not Up_Tilt's about necessities?
He doesn’t get taxied around to places in an armoured limousine convoy, he doesn’t get helicoptered over to campaign events unlike a certain PM we all know
MPs - including party leaders - frequently travel by train.
And if they're the Conservative Chancellor of the Exchequer, they buy a standard class ticket and then DYKWIA it all the way down to first class to bag a free upgrade on Virgin Trains.
Don't they Gideon Osborne?
