You have to go collect the damn thing from Corby though.

The terms and conditions on the posted weblink give me the impression that the voucher allows you to travel a return journey from Corby at a greatly discounted price, as apposed to what 'anthony263' says about bashing the whole EMT network for £10.

Terms and Conditions: £10 return fare from Corby (£5 children) allows unlimited standard class travel on the East Midlands Trains network only.

I think thats pretty much solid!

To be honest, its probably meant as a cheap return ticket for normal passengers, I'm not sure residents of Corby would be too interested in bashing the EMT network.

What's this about it being done at other locations - Corby is a pain to get to from here, but East Midlands Parkway and Chesterfield would be better! :D

I have yet to look at the link provided, but I think I'll be off to EMD on the 15th to do some serious HST mileage! For £10 it is an absolute bargain :D

Anyone else doing this?

Seriously considering this...

0836 YRK-PBO (cheap AP)
1010 PBO-COR arrives in good time for 1114 from COR.

1815 STP-LDS would take me almost all the way back too!:)

There's a 1010 PBO-COR?

[edit] Ah, the X4. I was wondering if one of the OKM services had been extended!

I think more people will be opting for CHD or EMD
If 089 is out on those days I expect the entire TGS to be full of bashers. I guess its "Quiet Coach" status will need to be declassified! Maybe people should bring "Bashers Coach" labels instead ;)

If it's on the FC end, I think that demand for Weekend First upgrades could be high!! (Is it still £6 per single journey?)

No, it's now £8.

East Midlands Trains said:
Upgrade at weekends
For £8 each way, you can upgrade your Standard Class ticket to First Class on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. One of our train managers will be able to upgrade your Standard ticket to First Class during the journey; upgrades are not available on selected promotional tickets.
http://www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk/EMTrains/Tickets/TicketTypes/FirstClasstickets.htm

It seems likely that EMT may regard the £10 offer as a selected promotional ticket and refuse Weekend First upgrades.

I guess the "selected" tickets are listed in a top secret place that the general public don't have access to?

Hopefully she'll be back, will depend what they find at NL at the moment.

44044 was of special 'Crank Club' status yesterday, only 5 cranks in it all the way from Skegness to Nottingham! Same status for 41111 on the 0807 to Skegness, just with about 12 cranks!

Anyone else doing Red Dot Day?

43089 is back in traffic!

Was today allox:

NL07 43073+43089 1B23,1D27,1B48,1D52,1B73,1F83.

London end, so I assume First Class.

Ooh, she's taken 055's place on that set then by the sounds of it. 055 was at the FC end, which was at the country end on Friday and Saturday!

Glad to hear she's returned to service, now we've got a chance of her going to Skegness. Hope she don't go this weekend, I can't afford to go to Skegness this week...

If I wasn't already busy on Wednesday, I'd definately be off on the Red Dot Day on Wednesday to get 089 in again!

Anyone armed with gen as to whether N5 is still taped out?

Last Valenta on EMT, with the only other passenger power cars with Valentas being with GC now. To think there's only 7 power cars with Valentas left in service, out of 197 built...

Froth over 089 is going to increase considerably up until December when she's due for a VP185!

Yes, a reliable source indicates there will be a special ECS move from NL to Kettering for it ;)
