Has anybody else applied and heard back yet? I think the vacancy closed on the 27th December.

I have applied. My application is still showing as Shortlisting. I have heard nothing else. I think it actually closed on the 31st.

Some assessments took place last week however don't give up hope as I'm sure quite a few people will be taken on owing to all the 5 car sets we are getting down here.

What? No assessments have taken place and there are only 2 positions.

Does anyone know how long the XC shortlisting process usually takes? I’m going through the same process with GWR at the moment and I can’t fault them. They are very efficient and keep you updated via email.

Recruitment at XC is just two people so depending on workload (plus annual leave, etc) it can sometimes be a while between applying and hearing back. I'm sure they'll get back to you soon.

I got the no thanks email today. Funny that I’m through to the final stage with GWR though!

I’m sorry to hear that Bear.
I must be a lucky one, as I have just had an email to say that I’m through to the assessments, but like you I have already done them successfully for GWR.
Does anyone know if the SCAAT & RAAT tests we took are TOC specific in which case I’ll just go and sit them again. Or should I tell XC that I have already passed these tests with GWR??

It would be a good idea to mention it before the day of you email or phone the recruitment team and explain they will be able to let you know if you have to sit just the ticket part of it or both parts.

Thanks. I get onto that. Have you any idea how many would have been short listed?

I've heard about 12 external candidates and most of the caterers I believe.

I’ll keep my eye on the job site then in case any retail service managers get the TM job and they advertise for RSM!
